Payne for Chesterfield too, who is very likely to score due to both being shite and the way he left.

I am just trying to work out who will score against us next season!
You want to asking the question to fans of NLN and NLS and below clubs. There’ll be a shit load more considering some of the crap we have signed over the last few years.

No longer with us (or even playing, as he is 39) but defender Simon Ramsden immediately sprang to mind from 15 years ago. Scored 6 goals in his 117 league games for us, half of which were against Grimsby, where from we signed him.

He's also got a Sunderland tattoo on his balls.

One of the most embarrassing things of our recent abysmal history was letting Scott Vernon score a hat trick against us for Oldham.
It was a Sunday game and I remember it well as I’d had an accumulator and included in it was Oldham/Grimsby to draw and by half time we were already 5-0 down.

I think I've seen us win more games at Grimsby than anywhere else.

It seemed also for a while that Grimsby/Macclesfield games were like that, they always beat us here but then usually we’d go there and beat them at their place too.
God yeh. Macc were an absolute pain the arse at BP

We've just signed one in Ben Pringle, but it seems he was only a loan player for Grimsby

We've signed another one, Joe Bunney. Reading about the circumstances of his leaving Grimsby, all seems somewhat odd.

Yes, he never really got going at our plaice, all sorts of 'problems' on and off the pitch. Pity because there is a decent player in there somewhere. Hope he does well for you.

He just got ill, didn't he? And didn't want to share what the problem was publically. Paul Hurst came out and said that was the case, so I have no reason to think there was anything dodgy going on. He was piss poor on his debut, but I thought after that he looked solid. Bit lanky for a full back for me though, I reckon he could do a job at CB perhaps. Could be a decent signing for Altrincham, saw enough after his debut for us to indicate he could do well in this division. If there's one type of player Hurst can spot too, it's a full back.

Hmm, he's left after 5 minutes. Work commitments apparently.

Hadn’t seen this thread when SOC said he was decent, being the most respected GTFC poster I’d always back his views but he’s wrong on this one. You’ve dodged a bullet, he was fucking shite

Are you talking about Joe Bunney? He didn't really put a foot wrong in his 5 minutes, but the sudden departure is obviously a red flag.

He's part of a proud non-league tradition in that respect, we've had a few one week wonders over recent years.
