Well 4 wins in a row means confidence is sky high.

Wigan seem to be inconsistent but I expect the to come good at some point.

Would take a point now to keep the unbeaten run going.

This fixture still brings back memories of my greatest moment supporting gills

I'd definitely take another last gasp headed victory.

Bit of a shitter for anyone who was planning on travelling to this but it's always nice to be on Sky. Let's just hope we can perform better than the last time I saw us on TV, which was away to Bracknell Town...

I don't remember us ever winning an away match on sky. We've won a few home ones but I've been at those, so fingers crossed we actually get to see a win on the box!

Wasn't Brentford in the cup? Watford I vaguely remember, Akinbiyi at the double?

Brentford was in the cup. Neil Smith scored twice on debut.

Watford was Akinbiyi with a double. Just remembered we also won at Cardiff when Onuora scored.

Can't say I remember the Cardiff one! Maybe I'll revise my statement - I don't remember us winning away on TV this millennium!

It was Brackley Town, the first game my local pub used BT Sport :ffs:

The Watford game was a Sunday lunchtime KO. I think the Cardiff game was a Saturday evening fixture, possibly in the FA Cup?

Fugsake.

Wigan v Gills and yet we're talking about Watford and bl**dy Brackley!! ;)

Pessimist here, I'll go 2-1 Wigan. We've had too many decent results of late. Not the Gills I know...

I went to both Brackley and Burscough, the latter being so bad my Mrs refused to ever accompany me to the football again, such was my disgruntlement.

With Oshilaja returning we are light at the back for cover. Norris is touch and go so likely to pair Donnelly with Samuel once again up top. Something like this perhaps?

Nelson
Jackson Egan Ehmer Garmston
Wright
Morris Loft
Dack
Samuel Donnelly

Glen Morris, Manny, Dickenson, Glash, Hess, List, Norris (if fit)

Don't think we should change too much from saturday, that was the best I've seen us for a long time. Agree with giving Hess a rest - he's been excellent of late but he didn't have much of an impact against Bradford. Loft however has looked rejuvenated in the last 2 sub appearances. Aaron Morris has begun to turn into a vital part of our team, and his versatility is something we don't have a huge amount of - the new Mark Saunders perhaps?!

We always play two up top.
We don't really do the sit back and shut up shop thing, even when sometimes perhaps we should (Coventry anyone?).
It should be an entertaining game.
I go more in hope than expectation though.
I just hope our young team isn't overawed by playing the Bayern Munich of the north and playing in the cauldren that it is the DW Stadium.
Is it still called that now he has gone?

Not sure what we're going to be doing up top. We haven't heard either way from Reading on Samuel yet, so with Norris doubtful and Cody crocked it could well be Williamson back from Cambridge or Dack pushing on behind the striker. With our record away to other top six teams I reckon JED will err on the side of caution:

Nelson
Jackson Egan Ehmer Garmston
A.Morris Loft Wright Hessenthaler
Dack
Donnelly

If Samuel stays or Norris is fit enough, one less in midfield and Loft dropping to the bench.

It has been officially announced that Samuel is staying with us for another month, so he will start on Thursday.

Just seen that Samuel has had his loan extended until 28th January so he should partner Donnelly up front and Loft to the bench.
