Uwe Rosler, today, has been relieved of his duties as Wigan manager despite Owner Dave Whelan backing the Wigan boss earlier this week. Graham Barrow will take over as caretaker manager.
Whelan says that he was left with a very tough decision as the club are currently 22nd in The Championship. Whelan then commented "Initially my thoughts were that Uwe should be given more time. He is a good manager and I like him immensely as a person, he is honest, passionate and clearly works day and night to try and earn success for the team." "However, the situation we find ourselves in at the moment, and the run of results in recent months, really has been alarming. Something is clearly not working."
Malkay Mackay is currently the favourite to replace former Manchester City striker Rosler. Karl Robinson and Tony Pulis' names have also been mentioned for the Job. So who would you like to see succeed Uwe Rosler. Please leave feedback here.
