Do we have a Wigan fan(s) around? Saturday will be my first trip up there, as I missed our recent couple of trips. A lot of ours did a manic and messy trip there in the FA Cup a couple of years back, it'll probably be the usual 500 or so northern traveling souls this time round.

We've been through a patchy few weeks that have seen a couple of defeats and some ropey performances, but Watford on Friday looked back to normal against a classy side, all be it against 10 men for the entire game.

I feel we really need to get somewhere from this, because this month is a really hard run of games for us. It's slowly getting towards the crunch time, Friday was a big result but they'll all be big results from about here on in.

Far as I know the squad is close to a clean bill of heath. Eunan O'Kane and Dan Gosling will be out for a few weeks. But otherwise we have defender Elliott Ward fit for the first time all season and his experience will be useful. Also Tokelo Rantie should return to the bench as an option following his African Cup of Nations duty and his pace is handy late on.

I'd expect Kermorgant to start up front alongside Wilson, seeing as he put in such a good shift against Watford. Harsh on Pitman given his efforts recently, but Yann was thrown in and showed some good form (all be it clattering a routine chance against the bar).

I'm confused by Wigan. I don't know a great deal about them, but I fully expected them to improve following the appointment of the competent Mackay. However they now risk being overtaken by Blackpool if they aren't careful.

I see they made a flurry of signings late in the window so they'll likely be throwing them in against us. Jason Pearce we know all about, was a massive part of our staying in the football league 6 years ago. Big fan of him, and don't like seeing him line up against us. Leon Clarke of course.....and then some unknown quantities in Ojo and Bong. They managed a decent point against Ipswich, a proverbial 'difficult place to go', a decent result of them.

A lot of our fans already talking about Derby on Tuesday but this will be a big test with the new signings Wigan have bought in, could shift the mindset of their play completely.

I just hope we're not too distracted by Tuesday and do our job here, not expecting many goals but three points would be a great days work with the tough games we have on the horizon

I will be annoyed if you somehow slip up here, we move above you...and then we lose on Tuesday.

2-0 at halftime, feel a bit for Wigan as our first was so far offside the linesman should be sacked, shocking decision.

Yann made it more comfortable however with a good finish, opportunity is there to kick in a few more second half, Wigans confidence has disappeared

Another good win for Bournemouth, can't believe how they just continue to plow forward. Very impressive. I'm actually starting to think that Wigan being relegated is fairly viable.

Their January transfers showed they are preparing for League One.

Ojo'a introduction brought about Wigan's best spell in the game, they looked more threatening with him on.

Wigan look like they should be able to stay up and take points off others, but there's just something a bit disjointed about them. And they're clearly low on confidence, as soon as the first goal went in they never seemed to believe they could get back into it.

I'm told the first goal was offside, but between beer goggles and being at the far end of the ground I wouldn't have clue. So perhaps wigan can feel a touch hard done by if their team's heads all went as the result of an offside goal.

We did everything else professionally, Kermorgant robbing a defender 20 yards out and slotting away was the clincher.

As I mentioned, Wigan gave to life later in the game when the damage was already done, and showed that they have something about them.

550 was a slightly low turnout perhaps but probably what I expected.

The journey home was just ridiculous. Train delayed for 90 minutes due to some poor bugger jumping. Had to get a much later connection, so late that the end of the line was shut for works, and the replacement busses never turned up! Stranded at Eastliegh at 12.30am isn't fun. Angry email to south west trains coming up...
