In terms of importance this game is very much up there, fans have voiced their doubts but have been willing to back Warren Joyce due to the difficulty of the fixtures he's faced since coming here. We're currently on a club record run of failing to score in our last 5 home games and 7 of our last 8 if you go further back. We won't get a better fixture than this to end the run considering Ipswich's troubles. No excuses anymore, failure to score and get a positive result will be an ominous sign for the future for Warren Joyce and this club's survival prospects.

So Wigan haven't scored in their last five home games, we've only scored five away goals all season... it's set to be a thriller. We've drawn with most of the teams below us and I can see this being the same. I'll be optimistic and go for 1-1 rather than 0-0 though.

Five changes from Tuesday, needed to be done. Not sure exactly what the formation is, but something like

Bialkowski
Chambers - Webster - Berra - Knudsen
Skuse - Dozzell
Sears - Williams - Lawrence
Pitman

Very pleased to see Williams and Pitman start, I really like the look of that front four.

A five goal thriller that no one was expecting, glad we came out on the right end of it. Definitely some positives to take away for us, first time this season we've won from behind and it's great to have Pitman back.

You clearly didn't go to the game as the only positive is surely your keeper. Having a referee being an Ipswich lad was a big help too.

That penalty decision after 6 minutes is one of the worst decisions I've seen, a great challenge over a yard out the box. Players were a bit shellshocked and sluggish till about the 30th minute then started to take control and from the moment we equalised till the end, we completely dominated and chould have gone about 5-1 up if it wasn't from a combination of poor finishing and some outstanding saves. Unfortunately at 2-1 we were commiting men forward to try and kill the game off which at 2-0 we wouldn't have needed to and a massively deflected goal somehow drew Ipswich level. Then a complete sucker punch on the counter last minute and somehow Ipswich have completely stolen 3 points when they deserved nothing but a comfortable defeat.

Still cannot believe how we haven't won that. Think we're cursed, dominated at home to both Derby and Brighton recently and had 1 clear cut attempt against us and we lose both 1-0, today we finally score and a combination of things going against us sees us lose again.

Yet another injury today taking our injury list up to 13 players. It's been 7+ all season. Don't think anything more could possibly go against us this season than has done.

No, I didn't go to the game, but then I only commented on positive outcomes and not performances. Maybe we were lucky to win, I can't say that really bothers me because I'm sure we'll have other games where we're unlucky to lose.

2-1 up with 25 minutes left at home and we go on to lose. Pathetic, the players aren't good enough bar Yanic who will go on to bigger and better things once he leaves us. Got the same feeling walking out today that I did when we lost to Rotherham at home almost 2 years ago exactly. The feeling of acceptance that we're going down.

Excellent 3 points. Sounds like we should have been 3-0 up by the half hour mark and then Wigan came back into it. The points are all that really matter when we were looking so close to be sucked into a relegation battle though. I still ain't convinced we're going to be OK.

Much needed 3 points but hardly a great performance from what the radio sounded like!

It just seems every time Micks on his last legs, we pull something out of the bag!

Not surprised to see Wigan struggling, looks a dreadful team at this level on paper, 1 or 2 players aside.

You got it pretty much spot on. Even without the numerous injuries have the squad isn't good enough. The L1 superstars haven't stepped up like we hoped they would bar Yanic and recruitment has been terrible. Marquee signing Powell who will have taken up most of the kitty has massively disappointed as well. It'll be nice to see us win a few games next season anyway.

You got much money to spend in January? are you still receiving parachute payments?

No idea to be honest but considering our position I can't see us throwing money at the problem. Had our last parachute payment this summer just gone but we've banked the majority of it like we did the summer before that so we're financially fine. We've got a couple of saleable assets to generate more transfer funds if needed as well. Gut feeling though is we'll be relying on Joyce's contacts to bring in some loanees or bargains.
