Well after watching us last season,its on another level so far!

It's a refreshing change to see 3-5 players in the opposing teams box in open play. Last season if one player crossed the half way line they were told to turn back!!

We look a lot stronger than last season and the team that won League One two seasons ago, new signings look good. But the most important thing is that arguably 5/6 of our best 11 who missed either all or the majority of last season are back to full fitness. Reece James is still alive after all!

A word on Bury, was quite impressed with them in the opening half hour and were the better side at that point. Maguire was making things tick for them, Bunn was very poor and Beckfords legs have clearly gone. Second half we stepped up a gear and would have battered anyone in the division on that showing. Bury will be nearer the top than bottom I'm sure.

Cook's plan A is an absolute joy to watch, total football. You'll see the absolute best out of Sam Morsy under PC as well. A superb player, who I was baffled about when GC shipped him out to Barnsley!! The less said about Caldwell the better though
Have you been lining up 4-2-3-1?

The only negative I could say about Cooky's Chesterfield side was that when plan A didn't work (It did 90% of the time... I think the longest we went winless under him was 5 games, mostly draws) his plan B was also often ineffective.

Nothing to worry about though, you've got the best manager in lower league football in charge and I wish you and Cooky nothing but the very best.

I think it will be a long time before we see football the likes of which we did under Cook, again at The Proact

Hope you smash the division lads...he deserves a shot in The Championship.

Cook will truly be judged next season when we are hopefully back in the Championship. Like Caldwell two seasons ago we have a squad far superior to League One. But when we went up against managers of far more tactical acumen and squads with far bigger budgets and star quality, Gary Caldwell was quickly found wanting. I truly hope Cook has more about him and doesn't go the same way.

Disappointing result but if Wigan can keep players like Nick Powell then they will walk this division. Its going to take a while before our team can gel its not helped by the fact our best midfider is out till at least Christmas/New Year. Apparently another 4 players out the door this week one way or another

Trust me Cook has more about him in abundance...

2 wins in 23 with us for Caldwell, and a stubbornness beyond belief to acknowledge he may need to change his 'way' to succeed down here.

He is currently sat on a win rate of 9.1% the lowest of any Chesterfield manager in history.

I'm in the give him time, and let them gel camp, but if he doesn't turn things around in the next 3/4 games, I'm afraid he's a dead man walking!

We were crap. Ajose, waste of money, Bunn piss poor, Beckford finished. Aldred and Thompson never won a header all day. Clarke to be sacked within a month absolutely clueless.
