Common sense says he probably will (and should) but the fans have been on his back for a while now and another defeat at home today (unless they can grab two late goals) isn't going to make the situation any easier is it?

Fans have been on his back since he took over.

No matter what he does there he'll never be able to shake the doubters off.

I'm not sure I understand why the West Ham fans are on his back. I can't say I've followed West Ham all that closely this season, but I thought they were doing about as well as could be hoped for?

Doesn't "play the West Ham" way...they never have taken to Big Sam.

He has a far higher opinion of himself than his record warrants. He's made West Ham better each season he's been there which I suppose is what you'd want from him, whether he can get West Ham into and challenging for Europe, which is where I guess the owners want them to be, remains to be seen

Thats a good shout that.

Sam is gone come the summer, but West Ham could probably do with keeping him there another year till they move stadium in 2016 and then switch it up.

I didn't realise there was a 'West Ham way'. Not really sure many people could take them any higher, whatever way they play.

He's made astute signings and they play good football when Carroll and Nolan aren't in the side. Seems mad to send him packing.

Who signs him in the Summer?

It's not like West Ham have been boring to watch. He's switched his tactics to accomodate Valencia and Sakho (one of the best purchases of last summer) as well as rejuvenating Downing's career which was going stale after his stay at Liverpool. In late 2014 West Ham were up there with Southampton fighting for Europe. It's not like it's been the Big Sam hoofball every game.
There's just no pleasing some people. If West Ham fans want to go back to Avram Grant then good on them but I don't get their logic. West Ham are on the brink of finishing in the top half. What more do they want?

West Ham fans are crazy to be getting on the back of Alladyce.

They're 9th in the league.

It could be worse, they could be Villa.

West Ham fans are on his back? The assumption we boo every week isn't the case. Certainly compared to the nadir of the Hull game last season, there's not been that much dissenting this season; a little because it's assumed he'll be gone in the summer anyway, but probably largely because at least in the first third of the season we were winning games and playing good football. Which given the extortionate prices G&S have jacked the prices up to, quells the booing a good degree as it would do at any club.

Naturally, getting spanked at home to Palace would result in some boos, as it would do at most Prem clubs. And of course Allardyce's desperation to put his favourite players Carroll and Nolan in the team when it made us a worse team also helps the dislike. This 'West Ham way' stuff has been vastly overblown by the media and Allardyce as well; from my view of watching us for 25 years, it's not a desperate way to play like Barcelona or else we'll boo the manager, it's an expectation that yeah, we'll get thrashed from time to time, we'll have some sublime patches, we'll never be a team that challenges for titles in the modern Prem, but at least do the above while providing a bit of entertainment while we're paying through the relative nose for what we watch. It's not an expectation that we win every match 5-0 while walking the ball into the net either, just as long as the football on show is half-decent, and there's the odd highlight, most fans would be happy.

The first third of this season was exactly like that. Carroll and Nolan weren't in the team, a fantastic set of summer signings immediately gelled, and because Sakho and Valencia aren't 6'5 targetmen we were playing fast, high-pressing, direct football out wide and along the floor. And we were winning, hence the best vibes at UP since Allardyce arrived. It ain't rocket science, West Ham fans are a simple lot :)
