Should be an interesting game - Wolves won against a very strong Newcastle last time out, while we smashed Preston 5-0 (though the game was actually a lot tighter than that). In general our form has been much better this season, and we didn't have to play in midweek, while Wolves lost to Newcastle last night. They've bought a bunch of new players who will be getting better and gelling more with the system each day, but I hope we catch them just before they begin to click.

We've been very impressive defensively this season, but have sometimes needed a helping hand when it comes to scoring goals. Completely the opposite to the last couple of seasons, if we can get our act together on the wings, I can see us doing quite well this year. Especially if we can keep in the hunt until January, and get Judge and Henry back into the side, we'll look a lot stronger.

I am hoping for a win, we don't tend to draw games, so I think we'll nick it 1-0.

Colin - Dean - Egan - Bjelland
Yennaris - Woods
Sawyers - Macleod - Kaikai

Can't predict this game, can go any way. If we go into it with the mentality we did vs Burton and Barnsley we could get beat by a similar score they beat Preston. If we go into the game and play like we did vs Newcastle then we could win.

No idea on the team either, as Zenga likes to make wholesale changes. One thing I really hope doesn't happen is playing Batth and Stearman together, as they'll be torn apart by a player like Hogan. I'd like to see:

Ikeme

Doherty - Iorfa - Batth - CBJ

Saiss -Oniangue

Costa - Cavaliero - John

Bodvarsson

What a performance from Joao Teixeira, can see why Benfica gave him a 6 year contract before loaning him to us.

A very good result in a game where I expected us to lose or draw in all honesty. I heard Brentford had only conceded 5 goals all season before today and we scored 3...

Wigan on Tuesday night, win that and we'll be amongst the playoffs, with the Barnsley and Burton results a distant memory.

Tragically I kept falling asleep whilst listening to the game this afternoon in my arm chair, I have officially turned into my granddad. What I did hear sounds very promising, enjoyed beating Brentford as feel like we have created a nice friendly rivallary with them (at least I have) where we were battling for so long together in D1 and have then been in and around each other since, so always pleased to see them doing well and have a lot of respect for how their owner is going things.

Sounds like a bit of a ropey performance today, congrats to Wolves. I always thought this looked like a tough game and so it proved. By the sounds of things the ref had a bit of a shocker for both sides, how he didn't give us a penalty for what looks like the clearest handball you'll see I don't know.

That ref... :ffs:

Wolves took their chances well and looked dangerous breaking. We only kicked into action once we fell 2-0 behind - no idea how the ref gave the free kick in Wolves' favour for the second goal - and should have had the chance to equalise from the spot. Never mind, just one of those (achingly frustrating) days.

Agree about the ref, felt we had a clear pen turned down too, and possibly a second yellow for your defender.

Anyway best of luck for the rest of the season, think both of us could be around the playoffs by the end of it.

Quite interested by this point as I must have missed it - what did Dean do to potentially get a second booking? I was trying to stifle an aneurysm for most of the second half as the referee had seemingly been hired to put me in the ground ;)

Sorry, I meant Maxime Colin in the first half, when he took out Joao Teixiera in the area. Looked a stonewall penalty to me, and he was already on a yellow.

Colin received his yellow ten minutes after the penalty appeal.
