RefWatch; Ref for the first Accy game in our magnificent bid for freedom from L2 is Stephen Martin, 32, an accounts manager from Staffordshire. FL ref since '12. Has the lowest card & foul count of any ref we've had this season; in 37 games he's given just 83 Y & 5 R, and went 6 games without even giving a card two years ago. Akinfenwa must be creaming his knickers. Says he 'loves the sights & smells of football grounds' and 'loves reffing, even when it's pouring'. Yes, well, looking at your hairstyle I'm sure the smell of wet balls are very close to your heart, Stephen.

Reffed Wombles 5 times with no wins so far; the 1-0 away loss to Rushden in '10 (4Y); the 5-2 away humping of Tamworth in '11 (4Y); the 3-1 away loss to Creepy when Bulman got a red for them, and Mulley a red for us; the 2-0 away loss to Exeter in '12; the vital 2-2 draw with Exeter in '13 when Luke Moore got two goals in five minutes to give us real hope of staying up in that awful season, and the 3-0 home loss to Morecambe in '14. Reffed Accies 5 times (W2 D2 L1), most recently the 1-1 away draw to Daggers in '12.

Hates the scum. Reffed the 5-0 hammering by Burnley in Jan & the 2-1 defeat to Forest on Saturday, as well as two losses last season. Top man. Hates them. We're coming for you, you franchise bastards, we're coming for you, and when we're done, the only sound you'll hear will be the lamentations of your whores as you douse the flames on your fucking caravans. God, I should listen to Bette Midler more often when I'm doing RefWatch, I get so emotional.

AnagramWatch; Stephen Martin = Permanent Shit.
KettleWatch; Retiring, it seems. Imagine Accies, if Trevor Kettle hadn't blown for half time when Billy Kee was scoring you'd probably be in L1 now. We'll miss you, Trevor.

Has any actual work been done on the proposed new stadium as according to Wikipedia you were granted permission late last year?

It would be fantastic for the club if this goes ahead, as it could really help them continue to progress both on and off the pitch. I've been rooting for Wimbledon to get promoted and play their first league games with Winkelstein's Monster next season which has become more and more likely since November, great to see them finally put a good team together after years of mostly struggling at the wrong end since promotion.

It went to Boris at the end of march and he called it in so everything's on hold. It's Sadiq's problem now.

I also think, crazy though this sounds, Accrington are probably the best opponent out of the three for the Dons to be facing right now.

Wimbledon have the momentum with 7 wins out of 10 and whereas Accy have been in even better form, missing out on the last day after being 2nd going into the final game and then hitting the woodwork three times in what should have been a very winnable fixture could be a devastating blow which they might not sufficiently recover from in time for the play-off semis. Whereas Plymouth, while they've had vague hopes of being in the top three, haven't been quite consistent enough and are happy enough to be comfortably placed in the play-offs, and I get the feeling that Pompey have been underachieving somewhat and are saving their best form for when it really matters.

Also, on a slight side note, I feel that if Accy don't go up they could struggle next season, that kind of thing happens time and time again to smaller clubs in the lower divisions.

Kettle is retiring!? He always looked like he had a faulty wire. Hopefully they don't get his replacement off the Darren shelf as they're all knobs.

Pretty terrible game on an understandably poor pitch. Akinfenwa made a big difference when he came on, and helped get that late winner. Should be another close game in the 2nd leg.

Good win for Wimbledon. Tight game could have gone either way. Still wide open.

Terrible pitch, terrible spectacle. Players didn't really stand a chance trying to control a ball on that surface.

One footin the door, still a lot of work to do in the 2nd leg.
Accrington players must be absolutely distraught. 92nd minute Bristol Rovers goal denies them automatic promotion and to lose to a 93rd minute goal tonight.

You could see their heads totally drop when the ball went in the net.

The pitch kills us currently. You can't play on it. We have gone long recent weeks. I think accy said there pitch is the same. Don't expect a classic Wed.

Pretty terrible to watch. I would be amazed if we turn it around on Wednesday, the confidence has gone.

I have actually been refereed by Trevor Kettle, at university. We lost 3-2 but he was genuinely superb. A class act.

Even with the third best home record and most goals scored in League 2?

Might need to go to penalties though.
