RefWatch; Ref for Accies game is Dean Whitestone, 41, a Kentish Town based cop from Northampton. FL ref since 2006. Steve Evans really hates him so he must be fantastic. Had trials as a keeper but was crap, and his dad was also a ref, so failure runs very deep in this family. This lady loves him - https://www.google.ie/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=9&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjJvLKw9KHLAhVGhg8KHXEwD8YQFgg-MAg&url=https://twitter.com/mewbelle&usg=AFQjCNHe_V6oAWrda0MUtGFEnyNU3GKVyg - so it's no wonder he spends his days off running around after boys in shorts. I wish all refs' wives would create Twitter accounts like these, it would be so much fun. Mind you, she could be his sister, they are from Northampton after all. 'Fittest ref in England?' Well, Michelle's obviously never seen pudgy little Brendan Malone waddling around a football pitch like Bobby 'You've Got A Purdy Mouth' Trippe in Deliverance. God, I get immensely aroused when Brendan tries to run around, probably because of my rustic banjo influenced upbringing.

Reffed Wombles 6 times (W3 D2 L1); 2-2 draw with Stevenage in the Paint in '11 (3Y); 0-0 draw with Scunny in '11 (3Y); annual 3-1 away win over Southend in '13 (4Y); 3-1 loss to scum in League Cup in '14 (5Y); 2-0 win v Newport in '15 (2Y 1R) & the 2-1 win v Creepy last August (4Y). Reffed Accy 3 times (1-1-1), most recently the 3-3 draw with Newport in Jan '14. Hates the scum. He's a proper Cobbler. Hates them. Home win % is 33% - very low. In 29 games this season he has given 85 Y & 2 R - lowish.

AnagramWatch; Dean Whitestone = We Shit On Da Teen. Into Washed Teen. Accrington Stanley = Gritty Anal Nonces. Cancel Instant Orgy. Conceal Granny Tits. Sly Ignorant Accent.

I'm sponsoring this match with a few other regulars on our 'Stream of consciousness' Guestbook.

We'll probably lose.

Massive game for us on the back of a disappointing loss and draw in previous 2 games. We have managed to produce a great response following similar earlier in the season. 1 0 to us.

Well I've never seen that before. Referee blows for half time 1 second before Accrington shoot and score. The referees a Womble.

Awful game of football. Doubt you could see a game with less quality on show this season.

I think I saw something quite special today. It took a professional footballer 5 minutes to put his socks on.

He blows the whistle after he takes the shot and he's only a few yards from goal, what a complete twat of a referee!

This league is full of them, I've never known anything like it.

It was less than a second. Officials in football do themselves absolutely no favours whatsoever. About time they started looking at other sports, learned some hard truths that they just aren't good enough and changed the way they officiate the game.

As a Pompey fan I should be glad by that decision, but the sheer stupidity of it doesn't warrant anything other than utter contempt at the officials. Clueless without an ounce of understanding for the game.

That is shocking officiating, but I have actually been on the line for worse. Literally in the 1st cup final I was ever involved in, the referee blew for full time (before extra time, eventually ending in a rout for the other team) after one player hit the bar, and before another player struck in the rebound. All the players were livid, and he ended up booking 3 of them for dissent, and sending the coach away.

Thats a horrific decision from the referee. He should be banned for several games. My head tells me I'm livid that someone like that can referee, my heart tell me he's a legend for helping us out

That is an atrocious call. However, I see the name Trevor Kettle involved, and I am no longer shocked.

Feels like every fan of a football league club has a "Trevor Kettle story". How he is allowed to continue as a referee is truly baffling.

If times up, it's up, wherever the ball is!

- Or is there a rule that refs should blow when the ball is in a neutral area ie half-way line?

Although very rarely, its eventually going to happen where the whistle is blown just as a goal is being scored - I'd be happy if I knew all refs were consistent with time keeping but don't think they are.

It's sort of an unwritten law that it gets blown when the ball is in a neutral position, I guess.

It's one thing blowing for full/half time when one team are on the attack, though, and another doing it between a player shooting and it going in. I genuinely don't know what was going through Kettle's head, he can't have actually been watching where the ball was?

But why should it even be an unwritten rule??

Would you like it if the opposition scored in this 'unwritten rule' timeframe? Of course not, but it inevitably will and should happen which is why when it does happen we shouldn't be shocked to the core.

Shit happens, lets get on with it....
