Terrible game, but one that we deserved to win, despite not playing anywhere near as well in our last two games, which yielded a draw and a loss.

Having read the reports of their game at Plymouth, I was expecting much more from Barnet, guess we must have caught them on an off day. A team with four forwards on the pitch should be more effective up front.

Not if the supply line to those four forwards is unreliable at best.
Sounds like one I was glad to miss.

Watching the highlights on 5. Was that second Wimbledon goal not offside?

I said 2-0, some of you said No it wont be, no body's kept us scoreless, If only you had believed a Kiwi. So Barnet could hit everything bar the net...

Actually the goal was onside. On a frame by frame camera rigg runs from behind azeez.

Well spotted. In real time it looks a mile offside but I've watched it back and paused it and you're right, he's behind the ball when it's played.

Apparently there were some verbals between fans players and staff after the whistle yesterday? I'd ask for more info on there but I've made myself a promise to not post on that place for a while, at least until certifying posters disappear or are banned.

Apparently Hoyte Weston and Muggles were on the receiving end and didn't like what they heard?

He's not, he's in front of him. Was ridiculously offside and the only way that wasn't called was by a limo who was incompetent the entire game.

Not that we lost because of that, but still... It grates on you.

If you pause it when he plays the ball, the goalscorer is probably level with the ball. Very close though.

The still shot is slightly behind play given the illusion he is onside, if that was taken level he would be clearly offside.

It's borderline either way. The TV and the linesman say onside so that will do for me. It's all irrelevant though as Barney could have pumped it long all day and not scored.

So how many Bees made the short trip to Kingsmeadow?

I'm sure someone will have the correct figure, but I do know that it was well in excess of 500 - heard over the steward's radio before kick-off.

Sorry, i had assumed we would play our best side and Dembele would be back in defence. neither was true so we got what we deserved.

Averaging just over 4000 - a bit down on last season I think.

We were truly awful. Just hoofball from start to finish. The couple of times we did pass it, we made an opening.

Wimbledon were very poor, but deserved the win. The game was so hard to watch with both teams just lumping it.

The ref was an utter disgrace. He allows their man to strangle Gash infront of us and then gives them a penalty straight after. He allowed them to foul all afternoon and their goalie was time wasting at every opportunity. We counted 18 seconds at one goal kick! It was a definite offside for their second but by that time we had already lost.

Hopefully we can get back on track with wins at home to Accrington and York.

I would have said we had at least 600.
Around the 750 mark

I missed the announcement, and it wasn't mentioned on the twitter feed which is unusual. You certainly brought quite a few although the away end didn't look completely packed.

Is getting a bit frustrating reading all the comments saying the second goal was offside when it clearly wasn't.

The number of people who don't know that if you're behind or level with the ball when it's played it doesn't matter if there are less than two defenders between you and the goal is quite surprising.

Seeing that shows that it was onside.

During the game I definitely thought it was off.

I was expecting to see some huge egregious error of judgement by the officials regarding the second goal in the highlights but to me it looks very tight either way and any benefit of the doubt has to be given to the attacking player.

It's very easy to think it's conclusive.

However, if you look at the shadows and the edge of the goal keepers area you can see the image has been affected by a wide angle lens so everything you see has been curved.
Using a straight line to prove the position on an image that has been curved gives a false impression. If you apply the same curve seen in other objects in the image then to me it is marginal.

Just seen the original image and it confirms my fears.
Look at the bend on the touchline. This image is centered on the 6 yard box and everything else is bent

This really is splitting hairs now.

The Barnet fans on here aren't happy unless they're crying about something.

Then again, I'm not happy on here unless I'm archly upsetting people by being uncomfortably accurate, so it's swings and roundabouts.

I don't care whether it was on or off as we were already beaten.
The only issue is the image used to prove either way is a fraud
