RefWatch; Ref for Newport game is Geoff Eltringham, 38, from County Durham. FL ref since 2009. Originally Deadman was listed, but it must have been a printing error, because our Sunderland loving chum is definitely doing it. What a horrible printing error - the worst since the time I glanced at the TV guide & sat down, dick in hand, to watch a two hour episode of Wanking with Dinosaurs on the BBC. After a full hour of tugging along to Kenneth Branagh droning on about pterosaurs I realised that I'd made a dreadful mistake, but by then it was far too late, and now I can't sit through an episode of Barney without feeling strangely aroused. Reffed Wombles three times; the 1-1 draw with Shots back in '12 (2Y), the 2-0 away loss to Bury in April '15 (2Y) and the shitty 2-1 loss to Morecambe in March. Never reffed Newport. Hates the scum. Never reffed them. Hates them. So, Winky the Robber announced on Friday that they've made a loss of £2m this season (despite doubling matchday revenue in the Championship), due to wage expenses tripling. So where has the money gone? Step forward wife Bernie Winky, appointed to the board of directors, and son Bobby Winky, appointed as Head of Recruitment. Bobby is doing a terrific job - he's signed numerous loan players this season, only one of whom made regular first team appearances, the very shit keeper (P7, L5, D2). Seems like the Winkies are bleeding the Failing Franchise dry before the gravy train stops. Well, keeping it in the family is something the franchise scum are all too familiar with, judging by their hideous physical deformities. Home win % is 50%. In 31 games he has given 80 Y & 6 R - high.
