We're all over the place so who knows what's going to be the outcome. Ronnie is promising changes but it's hard to see how we'll strengthen the midfield which is where our woes lie, until Magnay comes back. Yeah we can score goals but any long ball out of defence is fair game for a goal.

I can't see a result for us here, so 3-1 to the Cherry Red Records lot.

Respect for the stadium name like!! :cool1:

Will we win three in a row. Unlikely but we do seem to finally have some momentum. 2 nil us.

Comfortable home win and the Ardley haters to totally forget why he was hated in the first place.

Lets hope that Neal leaves the fat t-shirt & cap salesman out and we shouldn't have a problem.

RefWatch; Ref for Pools game (P4, W1, L3) is Lee Collins from Woking. FL ref since 2011. First game this season due to injury, missed a few last season too. Our ex-loanee Paul McCallum got a 7 game ban back in Jan for pushing him in the Pompey v Shrimpers game. Seems to go batshit crazy with the cards about once every 10 matches, giving up to 10 Y & a couple of reds in a game. He's due another meltdown anytime now, but hopefully not on Saturday as both teams have good disciplinary stats so far this season - Wombles 21 Y & 2 R; Pools 24 Y & 2 R, both bang average. Stags have most cards - 40 Y & 2 R, & most fouls conceded - 214. Dirty, cheating Mansfield? No, can't be, must be some mistake, surely. Reffed Wombles 5 times (plus a pre-season against Woking); the 4-1 win v Altrincham in the Conf in '11 (4Y, & 1R for them); the horrible 3-0 Lee Minshull Womble-career-ending horror show loss to Oxford in Dec '12 (4Y, 1R Constable); the 5-3 humping by Brentford in Sept '13 in the Paint (no cards); the annual 1-0 away win v Shrimpers in August '14 (4Y), and the 0-0 draw at Oxford in April (2 Y). Reffed Pools once, 1-0 win at Prenton Park in April '13. Hates the scum - reffed them 4 times, lost 2 & sent off a scum. Good. Hates them. Top man. Home win % is 33% - very low. In 29 games last season he gave 109 Y & 7 R - high.
AnagramWatch; Lee A Collins, Woking = Lion Wanks Clone Leg.

Can't see anything other than a defeat, pending the signing of 2 midfielders on loan, which ain't happening.

3-0 defeat.

as both teams have good disciplinary stats so far this season - Wombles 21 Y & 2 R; Pools 24 Y & 2 R, .

You forgot Carl Magnay's six game ban, which keeps him out of Saturdays game. Admittedly that wasn't imposed by a ref, but the incident followed his sending of at Wycombe. Plus amongst those 24 yellows, Michael Woods has already served a one match ban for accruing 5.

On the other hand, at least we've got a bit of fire this season. Last season they should have been booked for apathy.

Like your posts mate, keep up the good work.

Tough one to call. We normally get a nosebleed after 2 wins (and the dizzy heights of twelfth) so I should be readying myself for a serious off day. However, we showed great character at Accy, our back 4 looked almost organized at York, Lyle Taylor has definitely found his scoring boots and if Pools are weak in midfield (as PoolieTom suggests) Jake Reeves will dictate the play. I wouldn’t put money on it but after considering the evidence I predict our third straight win.

Last season, we came into this fixture on the back of two impressive away wins in a week, confident of beating an out of sorts Hartlepool at home to push on up the table. And we lost.

Lucky that it's nothing like that this season...

I cannot wait to see the look on the face of twerp who sits near me in the north stand, if we go on to win this, getting 3 wins in a row.

I wonder if he'll continue to jeer "Get Ardley out!" or if he'll suddenly be supporting him again.
After the loss to Stevenage last season, (2 loses in row early in season) i had one chap wanting Neils head on the block then, I would have liked to have seen him later in season, after a few wins. They are miserable moaners that a club could do without. 2-1 Wombles with Neal given a Knighthood.

When Garath McCleary (yeah, the one who went on to play over 30 games in the Premier League) ripped us to pieces playing for Slough there were a couple of blokes in front of me so pissed off with our defence that they started cheering him on whenever he got the ball. Not as a joke, but seriously. Fisticuffs were only narrowly averted. I realised then that there are people who only go to football in order to have a moan, and love it when the team loses so they can tell everyone how much they were right.

We will lose this though, with at least one goal involving a clown car and a whoopee cushion.

We've all got 'em lads, for better or worse. It's just a matter of how to ignore 'em.

Can't wait for the highlights with the clown car and the whoopee cushion. :gr:

The clown will be on the pitch wearing a shirt with AKINFENWA on the back.

Hartlepool were shocking today. We should have had 5 or 6. Trevor Carson saved them from a spanking. We were decent and are on a good run of form currently

We were really unlucky not to get a third there, and if we had doubled the scores it wouldn't have been undeserved.

Hartlepool were woeful, but we actually played really well!

3 wins in a row! Took us 200 games to do it! #RecordBrakers

Most one-sided game I’ve seen this season. The improving form of Osborne has shored up our back line, Reeves is playing with confidence in the middle and Taylor’s looking very good for this level. I’m looking forward to see us up against Pompey, Orient and Wycombe next month.

I echo what the other poster said 'I can't be bothered any more'. Well, I hardly followed the result this afternoon as the outcome had been fucking predictable all week. I have lost all hope in this football club and I was somehow pleased I didn't really care as the first half goals went in. I then buggered off to the pub for the rugby and didn't follow the second half, but of course, a few hours later, check the score (after ages browsing other non Pools stuff) and you can't let go so easily.

We are an utterly horrendous excuse for a football team.

Ronnie Moore has to take a lot of the blame, in fact I'd give him most of it.

They're his signings and they're mostly shit. He continually slags the team off to the press, claims now 'he doesn't know how to get them going'. Well Ronnie, find the fucking way because you signed most of these clowns and you extended deals of those you didn't. You can (but you won't) talk about there being a small budget but for fucks sake, a number of teams have a smaller budget than us, smaller crowds and where are they in the table then?

Where's the tactics as well Ron? You've messed around with formations, not a single one seeming to suit the inept bastards you've brought in. The midfield we have is the worst I've ever seen in 23 years of going to games.

What you're doing right now, however much you're trying, is getting fuck all out of them. There's only so much you can get with the turd you've recruited but they must be capable of being a teeny bit better than the present soul destroying wank churned out every week.

So where does the blame lie then? Sort yourself out and the losers you signed and bloody sharpish.

Is Ronnie going to get the boot?

Or would that be a risk? At least you know with Moore that he'll keep you up as a minimum.

If I was a pool fan I would be well pissed off. Effort levels were pretty much nil. They didn't even try to win the game.

That is excatly why I've chucked it with this bunch of wankers.
I've seen some crap over the years, but at least they put the effort in & sometimes it got you results.
Hard work & determination should be a given at this level,if not, your fucked.
