RefWatch; Ref for Shrews game (played them 4 times at home since '85, W3 D1), is Michael Salisbury, 23, a training manager from Lancashire. First season as a FL ref, and he only spent one season in the Conference, so he must be brilliant. Youngest ref in the FL too, his dad Graham, who did our Blades game last week, is the oldest. Says his rapid rise to FL ref is like a 'fairy tale'. I must admit I love a good fairy tale, it brings me back to my toddler days, perched in rapt attention on my granddads knee as he recited Womble fairy tales whilst snorting charlie & smoking meth; Little Ref Riding Hood - the heartwarming tale of Jeff Winter getting kicked to death by furious Wombles outside Valley Parade; Cindereffa - the charming tale of Gavin Ward getting the brains smashed out of him by livid Wombles outside Norbiton station; and Refpunzel - the magical story of Darren Deadman getting ripped apart by savage Wombles outside Tescos in Swindon.

Never reffed Wombles or Shrews. Hates the scum. Never reffed them. Hates them. In 20 games last season he gave 25Y & 3R - very low.
AnagramWatch; Michael Salisbury = Hull, A Basic Misery; Chilli Bum Slay Arse.
KettleWatch; Off to the Memorial Stadium for Gas v Vale. Trevor had a vintage performance at the weekend, brandishing lots of cards, including a yellow to a Bolton sub for 'coming on the pitch too early' and then sending the silly bastard off in injury time. Fantastic work Trevor, you fucking walking tragedy.

Town may have a few injured players back for this game and the suspended El-Abd is available again.

With no disrespect to the Dons this is the sort of game we have to be taking something from if we're to do anything in the division this season, but I'm in no way confident we will come back anything other than empty handed. Barnett is sure to be fired up for this game and the law of sod dictates he is very likely to bag one following his goal at the Valley last weekend.

Mellon is under an awful lot of pressure right now. His interviews since his post-match rant after the Scunthorpe defeat last Saturday give the distinct impression he has lost the plot and the general rubbish coming out of the club in news articles this week show a club out of touch with the views of their fan base. Another defeat here is very likely to see the pressure increase to levels which will make a continuation of his time as Town gaffer very difficult.

Avoid defeat coupled with a Fleetwood victory and the league table will make for good viewing at 5pm on Saturday evening.
Home win.

Well I predict possession with no end product and 3-0 to Wimbledon all from crosses into our box!

Mellon post match......we dust our selves down and go again on Tuesday

We need results but I can only see relegation or slightly above the dotted line come May if Mellon stays in charge for the full 46.

We need a new face in charge to give the players some fresh enthusiasm and belief, of course I want us to win but lose Saturday and Tuesday it should force the chairman's hand, surely.

I don't think Michael Salisbury was the ref today. The bastard in the black light blue looked way too old.
