Worst Teams at Penalties...

Apparently, if you look at our scoring record over the past couple of years, Brentford are the worst team at penalties in the football league.

Just makes me think of *that* penalty. Urgh.

Not surprised to see us at the top. But I can only think of one penalty miss from us, as Lambert never missed a penalty and when he missed the Blackpool match through suspension, Billy Sharp missed his penalty.

Edit: Seen it's not just penalties in the Football League. Tadic missed one against Burnley earlier this season, so yeah two.

Remember Graham Alexander for PNE and Burnley had a great pen record. Think he only missed 1 out of about 30.

Obviously we aren't on as we've only just returned to the league last season, we've not been awarded a penalty since November 2013 though!

I didn't even think we got awarded that many, but apparently so!

We've always used squads full of small fast players, just what we do. The flip side is that we concede from set pieces regularly. Two sides of the same coin. Dare I say it, a team managed for several years by Mick McCarthy is likely to be the opposite.

Very similar to us, and we are terrible at set pieces. We've scored from the fewest set pieces of any Championship team (though we have got a lot better recently, got 3 or 4 in recent games, having only got 2 all season before then).

Would be interesting to know if that list does include shoot outs in cup competitons. That would explain our very high number as we've been in a few over the past few years.

Otherwise I find it hard to believe we've won that many...

We're dead last with Leeds, and we've even scored 3 or 4 in our last 5 games, so it was a lot worse before then.

We can be pretty good - Tozser takes a decent free kick but then again should any footballer not be able to beat the first man at a corner or the wall at a free kick?

We are horroundous at attacking set pieces. We look more of a threat when the opposition have a corner as we leave three players up.

Our "set pieces" are mostly training ground routine short corner things, probably not what most imagine when talking about set pieces.

Sometimes just wish we'd lump it in now and again, and I'm surprised the stats have us that high.

Sixth from bottom doesn't surprise me. Even in the season when we came up from L1 when we were awarded a fair old number, we must have missed around 50% of them.
