Well, this game has some added significance now that we are in with a solid shout for 7th spot. We're 8 unbeaten and must be high on confidence after Ollie Watkins' wonder strike to beat Argyle last week.

Our away form is superb after winning our last four on the road but I feel this will be a tough test. Yeovil seem to be flying under Way and they will want to end the season strongly. I gather we've sold our away allocation so should make for a good atmosphere.

Keeping everything crossed that Noble is fit to start and I'd also like to see Jake Taylor get the nod in front of Wheeler who's been poor lately. Watkins has 6 goals in 7 so he's a big threat along with Stockley. However our defence worries me with Woodman at left back and McAllister at right back. If yeovil have good wingers we could be found out there.

I have a feeling this will end 1-1

McAllister at right back? Hmm, think we need to get Tahvon & Compton on him.

We don't score a lot of goals though so I wouldn't worry too much. The intriguing battle will be between your strikers (Watkins 6 in 7) and our defence (8 clean sheets in 9). A cagey draw I reckon, I agree with 1-1.

And it's always great to hear a rousing rendition of 'There's Only One Adam Stanfield' ring around the ground on all sides :2thumb:

Yeah he's played RB the last two games while our captain, Moore-Taylor has been injured. I am hoping he will be back so that Ribeiro can go back to RB. To be fair though, McAllister has looked solid enough there, whereas Woodman at left back is a liability. We will have to keep tabs on Zoko who looks dangerous but we always concede so you will most likely score.

That is a great defensive record, so we will need to be at our best on Saturday.

Agree that the Stanno songs will be great to hear. A fitting tribute.

Always enjoy the trips to Yeovil.

Don't think we were at our best today but we've got confidence and momentum and were quite comfortable in the end. Good to pick up another clean sheet, Troy Brown was excellent at centre back & it's great to see Watkins score another, 7 in 8 for him now. Thought Yeovil had spells where they were on top of us but didn't really create anything of note. Thought their number 6 at the back looked really good while their number 25 looked decent in the midfield.

Slowly but surely we're moving forward.

I think today gives us some realisation that although we have been doing ok recently we don't look very potent up front
and we aren't yet good enough to challenge for a play-off spot and we sit rightly in the lower end of the table.
We spent a lot of the game with the ball plenty of chances to cross when getting wide but no real threats. Zoko was off the pace.
Exeter were much more stable at the back (maybe having only 1 CB is really starting to hurt us, we also played the first half with 5 full backs) and looked much more threatening in the first half deservedly leading 1-0.
For the first 20 after half time we were the better team and Watkins probably could have earnt a second yellow after his awful dive in the first half. Thought the ref was a bit "mate-ish" with the exeter team and overall had a shoddy game (this wasn't the reason we lost just made the experience even less enjoyable) giving a corner when the keeper got nowhere near it.

I can't remember the last time we scored a goal when we concede first and that is overwhelmingly down to our lack of penetration (ooo-er)
Exeter were very clinical and their second came against the run of play but after it went to 2-0 we never looked like doing much.
I hear our players are going to be fined for the awful defending for Exeter's first rightfully as it was pathetic.

On to Rovers away next week........

Frustrating game, plenty of decent passing but all fell apart around the box. Not sure how Smith was given MOM, Walsh was a class above once again, won't be surprised if he's on loan in the Championship next season.

Fair play to Exeter though, textbook away performance and one of the better sides I've seen at Huish Park.

Agree totally with this, I don't think we've been playing well at all recently and some of our fans were getting a bit ahead of themselves. Out of interest how many of the current squad would you keep?

McCallister is at Exeter?! I had no idea, how's he got on and did he get a good reception on Saturday?

I thought he was playing out in India!

Yeah he's been here a while now, signed about midway through last season. He's done okay for us. I actually think he's still a good player but as you'd imagine, he's getting on a bit now so anyone with even a little pace can give him a torrid time. A good professional though, and seems a decent bloke. Not sure on the reception he got as I wasn't really listening out for it, the Yeovil fans on here will know.

Neither good nor bad Arron Davies got a much bigger round of applause, plus he was a bit douchey with the ref

not sure why we didn't run at him more the idea he was playing right back and that we decided to keep cutting in

Yeah, I did notice the Davies applause. Is McAllister not as well thought of? Always assumed he would be, what with him captaining you to the championship and that.
