Yeovil vs Pompey

So the battle of the 2 teams to most recently grace the 2nd tier (!) and both need the points for very different reasons. Yeovil have fallen back into the relegation zone due to York's win on Tuesday while Oxford's indifferent form of late is opening the door for 3rd place - something Portsmouth will look to take advantage of.

Both Yeovil and Portsmouth have an identical record over the last 5 games W2 D1 L2 and I see it being a tight game today - although not due to Yeovil parking the bus as we did at Fratton.

With Compton, Smith and Dawson out for us, Darren Ward and Harry Cornick should return to the team, hopefully Gillett is almost fit to start as well.

A sold out away end should give a 'big game' atmosphere, and I can see Pompey just edging this one 2-1.

If we harbour any real hopes of breaking in to the top 3, we have to win this one. And the players know it judging by our local press this week.

If Yeovil come out and give us a game we'll win. If they defend and play on the counter, we'll draw 0-0. The story of our season.

Wasn't at the game. Not happy with a point (and we were lucky to get that). Would like to see Smith and Mcnulty start together next match.

We were shocking Saturday simply didn't turn up. Well taken equaliser but didn't see it coming. Burgess completely lost the plot as well.
Needed 7 points from Yeovil Barnet and Cambridge to be in with a shout by my reckoning and that's not going to be easy now. Be lucky to get 1 from the next two if we play like that again.

I only followed the match by the online updates but the general view has been we weren't anywhere as good as we were against Bristol Rovers.

Barnet have good home form but lost at the weekend so we have a chance.
