Suspended him from what and for how long? Is he no longer allowed to train at the club as a result? Is this just a suspension from being around the matchday squad. Will this suspension coincidentally end when the FA suspension does?...

IMO nothing has been done by York to fix it. I'm not saying they have to, but this feels like an empty gesture from the club.

None the wiser here I'm afraid. I was at the game but the incident would have been at the other end of the pitch. I don't particularly recall any aggro.

Flinders denied the charge and will most probably appeal, so I don't suppose there's too much more the club can do until all that plays out.

Nah, he left ages ago. Ended up playing most weeks for Accrington last season before getting dropped. I believe he's now playing back in Ireland but can't recall where.

Flinders had actually been dropped after the horror show at Heed, with Simpson apparently playing well against FGR. We've no backup like, but that's the least of it. We could really do with a good news story for a change, now this.

Club suspended him, our only player left on big money from league days,plus dropped after Gateshead horror show and made 2 stupid mistakes against Maidstone & Borehamwood which resulted in drawing,whether this had been back of his mind or not,he actually turned Blackpool down in summer to stay

It does seem a rather futile suspension from the club seeing the punishment has already beed decided upon. Why not suspend him in March when it happened, unless of course, now there is a guilty verdict, it's for expedience, perhaps leading to an imminent termination of contract for 'gross misconduct/bringing the club into disrepute' which obviously racial abuse would fall into.
You can guarantee one thing if Still wanted him to stay and was an important part of his plans no such internal suspension would have been announced

Well do you think for a moment that if he was part of Stills long term plans he would let the club suspend the player, not a bit of it.
Morally we would like to think otherwise, but in reality the only players clubs suspend these days are the ones they don't want or worse want rid of without having to pay out when doing so. This gives them the chance to do so

The club suspension imposed was absolute - he isn't allowed to train with the main team to the best of my knowledge, perhaps not at the training ground at all - as opposed to a 5 match ban which, as it says on the team, would only ban him from playing.

Anyway, when his appeal fails he will be out on his ear - that's what I'm taking from the fact that Letheren has signed.
