Hello, Im a Boro fan who lives in the south and I can only go to away games in London or on the coast.
I've got nobody to go to Tottenham vs Boro but I really want to go, Im 13. Is it safe to go to an away game by yourself? Is it weird? Is it odd?

It's not weird at all, I've done it loads of times. However, have you spoke to your parent/guardian(s) about going? Have you been to any football matches before? Do you live in London, if not have have you been there before? It's gonna be dark by the time you leave too. I am 99% sure it would be fine, as long as you keep your wits about you.

I've been to away games in London before quite a few times but its always with a mate, always with no adult. My parents allow and trust me to go on my own. I live about 45minute train ride to Waterloo. Will people judge me?

A similar situation arose for a young Claret last weekend in terms of attending a game on his own. Not sure about others, I read some do, including us. Have a 'Safeguarding Form' for youngsters under the age of 14 in our case. Man City won't allow under 14's unaccompanied at all. I am not sure what the purpose is. It may be so they have a means to contact next of kin, or could be for insurance purposes, or could be to waive any legal duty of care, should something happen. So that may be another hurdle should you negotiate getting to the stadium unharmed. Although I wouldn't advise wearing colours if you're on your own.

For what? Predicting you get mugged? London is such a shit hole I'd go in the car to put the bins out.
Don't be a twat all your life JT I'm sure the kid is aware of any risks which is why he's asking.

I wouldn't either, but then I wouldn't let my step daughter have a computer or a boyfriend 'til she was 16 and we lived in an ok area

It wouldn't be weird but you shouldn't go on your own at the age you are. Boro must have a southern supporters group? Make contact with them and I'm sure someone will be following your route. Have your parents give you permission and if you make plans with a supp group make sure they know who you're meeting.

London is one of the safest cities in the world for its size, of course you'll be fine. Nobody will even bat an eyelid.

I know Johhnytodd loves a good but if sensationalisation, but not quite sure what he thinks is going to happen, all the notorious Tottenham baddies rounding on a 13 year old?

Yeah because Tottenham is the ideal place for an unstreetwise 13 year old to be wondering round innit.
