Who would you guys say is your club's brightest youth prospect? I guess 21 and under would be appropriate. Ours is probably 18 year old Demarai Gray; although he could be on his way out this summer.

Tricky to say for us. Most of our first XI have the potential to become a lot better, mostly aged 20 to 23, Odubajo or Jota probably being the best. But if by Prospect you mean someone younger, Montell Moore might become a good player, but there isn't really anyone knocking on the door at the moment.

If we're talking ones who have came through our academy rather than young players we've nabbed from other clubs - without doubt Joe Bryan.

Wes Burns would also come into the category, and possibly Bobby Reid if he can bulk up a bit - but Bryan has had much interest from PL clubs for a reason, he's a determined young lad with a great attitude, and he's a Bristol boy as well...

Did I nearly forget? He fucking hates Rovers as well :D

Lewis Cook. I rate him very, very highly and would not surprise me in the slightest if he played for England. Hope his second season is with us, and as good as his first if not better.

We have a few, and although we've not seen him play for us I'd probably have to say this Jed Wallace who we just signed from Portsmouth judging by all the hype about him.

I have heard a lot of good things about him. Looking forward to taking a closer look at him this year.

As mentioned above Joe Bryan, has come on incredibly last season and now is a key player. No one else really in the squad under the age of 21 looks like they'll make it big time, Wes Burns I expect to end up at league 1 level. If we were to push it to 23 years old (age for young player of the year) then it would be Luke Freeman, will certainly move onto bigger things sooner or later.

Not sure that Jed Wallace is a 'youth prospect'. Had high hopes for Bradley Reid but I saw him being criticised on one of his loans..at Telford maybe? Eusebio seems to be a rising star.

Yeah I guess you're right, he's played over 100 FL games so not really a new raw talent. If were going down to our academy I hear good reviews about Jordan Graham, the lad we got from Aston Villa. He won the player of tournament in the youth cup we just won. Can see him breaking into the first team next season.

Why are people listing regular first team players and not actual 'prospects'?

Despite being in the 1st team I don't believe Joe Bryan has reached his best, therefore still bright prospect for future as he can improve futher.

Probably Aaron Kuhl, our 19 year old CM/CDM. Very good passer of the ball, eye for a tackle. His size might hold him back a little but technically he is great. Hoping to see a lot more of him next season.

Though give the amount of first teamers our academy is churning out currently, could name anyone as a bright prospect really.

Dunno what's left really.

Virtually all the recent youngsters that had international youth experience have left now.

Dele Alli (Spurs)
Brendan Galloway (Everton)
Seyi Ojo (Liverpool)
George Williams (Fulham)
Danny Collinge (Stuttgart)
Kevin Danso (Augsberg)
Hugo Logan (God knows where)

That just leaves Giorgio Rasulo, a creative no'10 who's represented England at u16 & u17 but doesn't seem to be getting the call ups now. A make or break season for him (probably out on loan though).

The other one is Kabongo Tshimanga, an unbelievably prolific striker who scored 50 goals by the end of January last season. A couple of Conference loans where he failed to pull up any trees shouldn't be taken at face value. I'm sure he'll fill out and could be a player.

Mowatt and Cook

both look equally good, but obviously different types of midfielders, cook is a very mature head and sits there dictating play, where as Mowatt is more attacking and has a freekick specialist , which we've needed for a while

Byram isn't as good as i thought he would be

Joe Gomez.

Class act last season, part of the England U17 side that won the European Championship, certainly didn't look out of place last season and Arsenal and Man City have already been sniffing. He only turned 18 a couple of weeks back.

If we're talking first teamers, clearly Will Hughes despite now being a regular for 3 years he's still only 20.

Jamie Hanson seems one of our brighter prospects in the academy. Made a couple of apperances as DM during our injury crisis and did well.

We've got a striker called Offrande Zanzala who is highly rated too.

I guess our best prospect outside our first XI would be Joe Morrell. 18 years old atm and has made 1 or 2 appearances in our first team. Was reported that premier league teams tried poaching him through eppp but he chose to stay with us.

Good on 'em for taking the bold step outside the British bubble. Either of them English?

Think I typed up a lengthy post this time last year on our prospects. Solly March was my 'one to watch' but typically went on to miss most the campaign with some mysterious back injury. Still probably our most exciting talent, and only 20, so maybe 15/16 will be the season he was supposed to have last time round.

Otherwise, Christian Walton our highly-rated keeper who plays for England u20s made a handful of appearances last year and acquitted himself very well but looks set to be loaned out to a L1/L2 club for the season a la Butland.

Glen Rea, holding midfielder who captains Ireland u21s (as of today at least), is yet to make his debut for us but seems to be consistently among our better players in the u21 PL. James Tilley did make his debut for us on the final day at Boro, aged 16, and seems tipped for big things, though who knows how much he'll feature next year.

Teddy Bishop, he'll be a key player for a top 4 side within a couple of seasons.

Mings trailing behind.

Our policy of developing young players has been shite recently but slowly improving, would say Lavery but he's 22 now and actually older than Stevie May who probably goes in the same category as the likes of Jeremy Helan who is still only around 22 himself. Outside the first team it'd be striker Franck Betra I expect, would have probably featured last season had it not been for a bad injury early on.

To be fair, the OP mentioned Gray who is a first team player for them. Most people probably just following suit.

Samuel?
If not can we have him again please.

Depends on who we bring in this summer but i don't think we will be loaning him out next season.

Niall Keown also has a lot of potential having seen him play a few times for our u21 side.

Collinge is a centre half. Current England u18 captain.

Danso is a midfielder and was raised in MK but is of Austrian parentage and represents their youth teams regulalrly.

We've lost a couple of good'uns there. :( rumours persist that we actually did a lot better out of the deals than if they'd left for an English club due to no enforcement of EPPP Rules.

Still some hope for Mason Bennett, seems ages ago since he made his debut up at Boro at only 15. Hopefully he can kick on after an injury plagued season last year.

Farrend Rawson went to Rotherham on loan last year and performed very well so he's one to watch. As well as Hanson and Zanzala as James mentioned there's also Kwame Thomas and Max Lowe who are currently away representing England at youth level.

We nicked a few youngsters from clubs last year; Alefe Santos (Bristol Rovers), Alban Bunjaku (Arsenal) and Ivan Calero (Athletico) to name a few. They did really well for our under 21's last year. I'd expect them to either step up this coming season or be finding themselves new clubs come this time next year.

I'm currently quite excited by our crop coming through. Ben Osborn came through last year and is probably our most reliable player at 20.

Behind him we blooded a couple of others very briefly, who I expect to figure much more. Tyler Walker (son of Des) who scored a lovely goal down at Brentford and has been bagging for fun. Hopefully we don't do a Bamford and flog him as it would be amazing to churn a goalscorer out of our academy.

Behind him there is Oliver Burke who is a quick and tricky winger and Jorge Grant, an attacking midfielder who scored on his debut against a very strong Tottenham side in the league cup before not really featuring again.

Missed a few others but some very good talent. Hope they're given a chance to shine. Would be nice to emulate the 2003 crop of Dawson, Reid, Harewood, Williams, Prutton (and Jenas just before I think) of good, young, academy lads making us a force.
