Our retained list will of course depend on what league we are in. The worry for me is that, everyone apart from Gary Sawyer are out of contract. All of Derek Adams signings have got a trigger in their contracts however, which is apparently after 30 games they get offered a new deal. Whatever happens, I just hope Jake Jervis isn't an Argyle player next season.

A clear-out was inevitable following the capitualtion of the last 4 months.

Back to their home clubs have gone: Conlon, O'Hara, Oliver & Stockton

Would like to see us going for both Conlon and Stockton

Out of contract and released are: Bailey, Beeley, Bondswell, Doyle, Dugdale, Goodall, Kelleher & Parrish.

Shame about Bailey and Kelleher but if we are to believe we will be going with a smaller squad next season then there is no room for 2nd year pro's.

Soon to be joined by Devitt and Miller who will no doubt turn down their contract offers and wind up at League 1 Clubs. Both will do a good job there too.

Fleming has triggered another deal, I am hopeful that we will hang on to Edwards and Kenyon (both offered extentions)

We currently have 9 on contract, with the Club up for sale. It's going to be a long summer

We have retained everyone except Mark Randall.
Already under contract
James Pearson, Alie Sesay, Luke Gambin, Jamie Stephens, John Akinde, Bira Dembele, Michael Gash, Gavin Hoyte, Elliott Johnson, Sam Muggleton, Fumnaya Shomotun, Shane Cojocarel, Tom Day, Wesley Fonguck, Nana Kyei, Justin Nwogu, Harry Taylor, and Jack Taylor.

Shaun Batt, Mauro Vilhete, Tom Champion and Ben Tomlinson are also still contracted to the club, but have been made available for transfer by Barnet manager Martin Allen.

Midfielders Sam Togwell and Curtis Weston will be staying at The Hive next season, after signing new deals earlier this week.

Talks are ongoing with Bondz N’Gala, Michael Nelson and Graham Stack. However Mark Randall will be leaving the club after just over four months with the Bees.

If we are changing managers then his hands are pretty much tied as almost everyone is contracted. We might be able to get some long term loans for those that we want to move on.

Ours is out, not sure who has done it with Branston being sacked and no manager, but hey.

New contracts:

Alan Smith (player/coach)
Wes Atkinson
Haydn Hollis
Jordan Richards

Released:

Roy Carroll
Liam Noble
Blair Adams
Jordan Aghatise
Jason Banton
Colby Bishop
Will Hathurst
Taylor McKenzie
Lartey Sarpong

Offered the chance to train under the new manager to earn a deal:

Ronan Murray
Filip Valencic

Can't argue with any of that, really. Might have kept Valencic but he's a bit of a luxury player and would need to fit a manager's system, so what we've done there makes sense. Murray did well for us for a bit in League One but has been ruined by injury since. I might have released Hollis, too, but he's relatively cheap cover I suppose.

So for the first time we've announced a list after all this afternoon.

Players who have not been offered a contract with the club:-

Joe Edwards, Tosin Olufemi, Darren Ambrose, Nicky Shorey, Elliott Parish, Marvin Sordell, Marley Andrews, Kieran Bailey, Tyler Brampton

Players who have received offers:-
Drey Wright, Alex Gilbey, Femi Akinwande, Tom Eastman, Dillon Barnes, Jack Curtis, Jamie Harney

No major surprises there really. Joe Edwards was fairly decent and he had the option of another year, but it seems he wants to look elsewhere. That said, he's now been relegated for three successive seasons so maybe that's not such a bad thing.

I would have been happy for Nicky Shorey to stay as he's looked fairly solid at left back, but not bothered about the rest. Andrews, Bailey and Brampton were U21s.

Alex Gilbey has been offered a contract but that's presumably more to do with a tribunal as everyone knows he is leaving. Not sure if I would have offered Eastman a contract, but that's about it really.

Agreed. He readily said he wasn't happy at county. I dare say he would have stayed had he not been recalled. How could any player by happy at that farce of a club just now though!?

Decent play, dare say he won't start but fitted in well with the lads, the fans took to him and him and Murray had a mutual respect for one another.

A lot of work for Hurst this summer to get us a decent lge 2 side then, can't really disagree with any of the offered new deals or released, though I'm not sure Arnold is consistent enough for this league and Disley is getting on a bit and with Nolan leaving that leaves us with a pretty much a non existent midfield. Defence is reasonable enough, and Bogle and Amond should be solid enough for this league, depending on our aspirations.

I agree with all the ones offered new deals and i would have kept Clay as well, he will have no bother getting snapped up by a top 10 Conference side.

Yeah, I'd have been more ruthless. I didn't really want us to offer deals to Tait, Disley and Arnold. Arnold has been MIA for 80% of the second half of the season, Disley despite being a fantastic leader at Conference level is too old and you have to question why Tait wasn't offered a deal by Cambridge for last season. Really hope that all 3 can prove me wrong though, obviously. Pleased Venney has been offered a deal. Worried about Toto and Amond, but I think McKeown will sign. Slightly concerned about the current status of Henderson too, hopefully that isn't because he Hurst is/was waiting on response from Disley/Nolan. Need to be releasing Henderson.

Tait started pretty well for us in League Two but so did most of our team to be fair, and like some others he got found out in the second half of the season but in his and their defence, I think they were victims of terrible tactics, especially defensively, and pretty low morale in the camp for the last 4 or 5 months of the season. In the right system with the right manager Tait can be a decent League 2 full back, but he didn't have either of those with us and it was right for both parties to move on. Good luck to him.

Tait was our second best player behind Amond this season so I'm happy he stayed. Should we get a good left back in, our defence should hopefully be fairly solid. Arnold was also debatable as he was pretty bad this season but he was brilliant in the playoffs so I'm hoping he can rediscover his previous form. Disley deserves league football again.

Can't really argue with the rest of the list though.

Michael Nelson has signed on again with us.

Happy with that as he was a solid member of our back line last year. If Dembele can sort out his injury issues then that's a very good pairing we have at the back.

Happy with that retained list, wouldn't make any changes to it. I'm hopeful most will sign as well, if Amond gets an offer from League One I can see him being lured away. Jimmy Mac is settled here so I reckon it would take a pretty massive deal elsewhere for him to go. Wishful thinking maybe. With Monkhouse leaving I am hoping we put Arnold back on the left where he shines the most.

Are we officially allowed to post on here yet...or do we have to wait until after the league play-off finals weekend? Exciting isn't it, like going into the 6th form and being allowed to use Common Room...

Any road up I'm weeping at the loss of Nolan. Easily, our best player over the 3 play-off games, proper box to box midfielder which are hard to come by (but of course are totally irrelevant for clubs like Lincoln).

Hurst has alot to do over the summer. However, despite my opinion on his tactical shortcomings recruiting decent players is one area he has consistently done a good job (Nolan being one of the best also Townsend who helped turn around our indifferent start to last season).

Bobson Bawling signs a new one year contract.

I really can't make up my mind about him. He is quick. He is direct and he tries really hard.

He just doesn't convince me he is a professional footballer. Professional athlete yeah! Footballer... ?

Oh god! Dermot Drummy was Chelsea academy coach. Nortei Nortey is coming....So am I!!!

Seriously; Jimmy Smith signs a new one year contract. Was also with Drummy at Chelsea so I imagine that's what swayed it because he hasn't exactly set the world alight in his two seasons with us.

Best remembered at Orient for occasionally winning headers, bring a flash c*** and his stupid #lego Twitter hashtag. Known as #leghost by most O's due to his utter invisibility in games. Can't believe he's still robbing a living at league level.

I know what you mean about Jimmy Smith. I just don't think he is very good. Most Crawley fans did share my view but there seems to have been a shift towards him being OK. Shows how bloody awful we were last season.

Josh Yorweth signs for Crawley after his release by Ipswich. He was on loan with us last season.

I would bite your hand of for the player who started the loan but by the end of the season he looked poor. I'm not sure if it was injuries or playing with other defenders who went absent, midfielders who let players run past them or bad coaching but by the end he was a mistake just waiting to happen.
