2 separate answers for this one, because I think you cannot compare a TV series Villain to a film villain because one will be built up over weeks and another within 2 hours.

so who would be your favourite Villain in a tv series of any kind, and also in any film??

Ben Linus from Lost for TV series has to be the standout. I also liked Sylar in Heroes (one of the few great things about Heroes, though they even cocked him up in the later seasons). Hm. Can we mention the likes of Walter White and Tony Soprano? While they're both main characters, they're both pretty shitty people overall.

Also, Vince Mcmahon. Of course. And Seth Rollins right now.

For movie, fuck it, it's cliche as hell to say but The Joker in TDK is a good candidate. In fact, I loved Neesons Ra's Al Ghul as well in Batman Begins. Or Scar in the Lion King. Man, this one takes thinking about...

How did it take 9 posts for that little shit to be mentioned.

He annoyed me. Can't stand his voice.

No way man. I liked him in Spartacus too as Crixus.

Will have to think pretty hard about my favourite of all time, but off the top of my head, I know who my childhood favourites were...

Maleficent13.jpg

Proper badass Disney villain. Apart from the queen in Snow White, they were all a bit namby pamby, and quite often comical, then this badass bitch came along picking on babies and actually making the Disney prince actually have to work for once instead of just turning up doing the easy bit at the end!

And the two best cartoon TV villains are pretty obvious...
Shredder_by_RaananZ.jpg

The Shredder, a villain who could balance menacing, and also throw in a smartarse quip when he was arrogantly revelling in some victory that was about to be snatched away from him.

venger-01.jpg

Venger from Dungeons and Dragons. No comedy, just an all round dark bastard you wouldnt want to mess with.
