It's vote time, you lot. I've decided to allow multiple choices as a trial.

Here's what everyone said about their nominations.

Burial

If you like electronic music then you simply need to hear Burial. His identity has been secret until recent years as Burial values his music over anything else. Ever since his first album self-entitled Burial was released in 2006 people have constantly been left in awe at his diverse releases. Burial is a great album, however the album which introduced me to Burial was Untrue which was released in 2007. The album is widely regarded as one of the most important and best electronic albums ever released. It's hard to define Burial's style and it's very much a case of listening to decide for yourself. The guy has been on tracks with musical giants such as Four Tet and Thom Yorke. I know a lot of people on here and formerly TFF have raved about him in the past, but a lot of people haven't heard his music. The reason people should give Burial a listen is quite simple. If you appreciate great music, you need to have a listen.

Cosmo Jarvis

Cosmo is a multi-instrumentalist and film-maker from Newton Abbot, Devon. His music is varied and eclectic, he's most well known for his single about seafaring homosexuals, "Gay Pirates" which was backed heavily by Stephen Fry, and presumably Rocky Latic, a famous gay pirate.

And no, we're not related. He's much better looking than I am.

Kali Mutsa

Dunno what counts as pop/R&B. If I were anal enough I'd separate music into pop vs. classical but thankfully I'm not that anal yet. Does this count?

Laid Blak

Joking of course. After a proper think I am going to nominate Bristol Band Laid Blak. I know they are more reggae but I would say there music fits here after looking at the other genres. My girlfriend loves them and I've seen them a couple of times live which was enjoyable. They are high energy and love their home city of Bristol which is always nice. This is probably the my personal one of my favourite song from their album which came out a couple of years ago. They also released a unplugged CD last year which is really good too. If you want to here more of Laid Blak then give them your vote!

Lana Del Rey

My nomination is...

Drum roll

Submotion Orchestra

I first heard of this amazing group in 2011 with the release of their fist album finest hour. There style is unique with blends of chillout, nu jazz, and experimental they have since gone on to release a further two albums which are just as fantastic. I havent seen many people mention them back on TFF or in general really but they are defiantly essential listening.

Just to clarify, you can vote for more than one choice and you don't have to vote for who you nominated. It seems like you can't change your vote once it's been registered though, I think you could on TFF.

I voted for Burial. Didn't vote for my own as that's a bit biased I reckon.

Heh, I intended to come back - listen to everyone else's nominations and then vote accordingly. Turns out I can't edit my vote.
