Any club looking for a new manager should bide their time and wait til Huddersfield sack future England manager-in-waiting Danny Cowley. He knows all about the 4th division and his outdated agricultural brand of footy should be a hit down here. Literally.

Oh btw, anybody knows what happened to the monument/statue idea?

Yawn. I bet you'd love to have a local rival, you don't even have one in your county

They have Swindon Supermarine, which is a historic rivalry tbf.

You know nothing, John Snow!

What difference does being in the same county make?
None, assuming the Swindon/Oxford reunion in L1 leads to the normal fairly entertaining feud on here :)

My wife's from Coleford in Gloucestershire - the nearest town is Monmouth in Monmouthshire. Are you suggesting that Tewkesbury, some 29 miles away but in Gloucestershire, is more local than Monmouth?

I hope you had some money on that...

John McGreal interested in taking over our mess. We should be offering the contract now. Harsh sacking from Colchester and a bloke who knows league 2. Would feel more confident with him at the helm

Alas no, because I'm taking a break from betting as I'm one of those that have no control when betting. I tend to chase losses and so I'm a godsend to the bookies.

But even if I was still gambling, I don't think I would've put money on it 'cos I thought Huddersfield would at least give it a couple of weeks after the final match of the season.

Out of nowhere it's being reported Russ Wilcox will not be our manager for this season. He will apparently be going back to being the u23's manager and we will be bringing someone new in. No idea who it could be.

Harry Kewell new manager. The worst thing is I’m barely even bothered. There was a time I would leave myself with barely any money for a week so I could travel to watch us play all over the country, now I can’t be bothered to watch us play at home just two miles up the road. This joke of a owner has sucked the life out of our club. Things will only get worse before they get better.

Yeah the club isn't worth supporting in its current state.

Yeah the club isn't worth supporting in its current state.
the saddest thing about it all is seeing loyal supporters who have been going for years and years ditching the club. I got my first season ticket in 02/03 with my dad under Dowie and fell in love with club straight away. We went together until then end of the 09/10 season under Penney when he decided he didn’t want to go anymore. He said to me that he worked hard all week and wanted to go latics to enjoy himself at the weekend but no longer felt that he had any enjoyment out of the club. At the time I thought he was mad but now I know how he feels. The club I once loved has completely changed. I can no longer justify working hard all week and then spending £20+plus to watch a team who don’t give half a fuck that the fans do. If Abdallah doesn’t go by Januar, we are down.

Feel for you Oldham fans on this. Was only just over a year ago we were in a similar position with Smurthwaite and many other clubs with similar tales such as Notts and currently Macc.

Hopefully can find new ownership soon enough as from the outside looking in its appeared shameful what he has done at your club.

Rumour has it he’s trying to buy another club in another country he hasn’t got enough money to run one club let alone two. So hopefully he will be gone soon there are interested parties waiting in the wings but he wants to much for the club as for Kewell. Any thoughts Crawley fans. I know he was a disaster at Notts country I will give him till xmas and he will prob be gone

Harry Kewell will have you playing horseshoe football. From a goal kick the keeper will pass the ball backwards (honestly) to the central defender. He will then pass the ball to a full back who will advance along the touchline before turning back and playing the ball to the other centre half who will play the ball to the other full back who will adavance along the touchline before turning back and passing the ball to the keeper to start the process all over again. This will go on until the opposition get bored and hunt the ball down and either get the ball in an attacking position with your centre halfs split across the pitch or force the keeper to boot it long towards a forward who has gone to sleep because he hasn't seen the ball for so long.

The stats will say you have massive amounts of possession but after a few weeks you'll be wondering why you bother to come to the game.

Hey! He may have changed.

Casey

Ps, I make these comments as a fan who prefers to see a team play passing football and think the route one hoof ball stuff is rubbish but imho Kewell takes it too far.

This is the sort of thing that could put Oldham in serious trouble next season.

Oldham fans; will Morais be staying with you next season or will he be a Crawley player again? I noticed he is still on our list of players but he did say he wanted to move back up North.

Morais didn’t feature. Because of a fall out with Dino dinos gone but like you say he’s a Crawley player. Did he play for Crawley under Kewell or was it after Kewell left
