Looking forward to this one as I like Sheffield United and I like Chris Wilder.

Knowing a bit about how Wilder will play, and what he will know about us, and about how good Sheff Utd are, I could probably make a sensible prediction today. Instead I'll stay true to form and go for a 3-0 Ox win.

Any 1FF blades left work early and currently making their way to the Triangle?

Giving it a miss which is rare for me when I'm in the country. But after having the weekend just gone in dubai for the races and next Tuesday at Cheltenham followed by swindon at night I thought I'd save the £200 it would of cost me to come down. 3 points would be a cracking away win for us and I must say I fancy us to get them.

Best centre half unbeaten in 20 games of injured and 1 nil down. Not the 1st half I hoped for.

Saw on Twitter an absolutely remarkable stat. In charge of Northampton and Sheffield United, Chris Wilder has lost 6 of his last 60 games in charge.

Yeah he's really let it slip since joining your mob, sad to see!

Haha he's done a fantastic job. People claim we spend fortunes that is absolute bollox. I think we have spent about 1.3m all season on players. He had a big clear out, transfer listed a load, who a couple have worked there way back into his team, and built again. We've sold more than we've spent that is for sure. Him and knill seem a great team together.

Well, a confession from me. Caught up in the traffic outside the ground I managed to miss kick off, and then I left early too. So I listened in on the radio as we scored a second and had some sort of penalty shout.

Didn't feel the slightest bit aggrieved as we were a tad outclassed and Sheffield United deserved the three points. Lovely football and the exact same tenacity that we were missing against Bristol Rovers. Their second goal was lovely stuff. The third was a clear penalty, we had lost our heads a bit by that point. Nelson can have that one for free because it took a brilliant challenge to deny your striker when clean through a few minutes earlier. In the first half I thought we did well to exploit the width around your back three, but credit to Wilder as he adjusted well. A decent advert for L1.

Not sure what the attendance was but also a brilliant attendance by Blades and great noise especially during the second half.

The last two games have suggested that we're not quite up to the play offs. The games will only get thicker and faster and we look tired. It's hard to remind myself that consolidating our L1 status and reaching the fifth round of the FA Cup is a pretty bloody good haul for us this year, all things considered. Perhaps we will start to identify the missing pieces over the coming weeks, if our season is dwindling.

8965 with 1667 blades if you were interested. Like you say you've had a good year and have a good platform to build for next year.

Yeah fair play. I don't feel like I need to say much more - you're a big club and that's an impressive turn out.

Hope you go up as Champs. It's actually the first time I've seen us play each other as I've always been out the country or ill for our previous fixtures!

I agree about Sheffield deserving the win as they were more clinical in attack. Neither defence was that great though and that was before Jake Wright went off injured.

Agree about the numbers of Sheffield fans but not about the noise (and that takes into the account the poor acoustics). They were quiet before their first goal, briefly noisy after and only after the 2nd goal started any reasonably consistent chanting. They then went quiet after our 2nd rather than urging the team on. Considering this is a team comfortably top, in form then it was poor considering Bristol Rovers fans' were far noisier and had similar numbers.

Bristol Rovers fans are consistently the best away ones we see so that's a tough comparison.

Either way, not gonna argue about another teams support. I thought they were good when they had something to cheer about. It is very very rare indeed that a set of supporters is good without something to cheer about.

What's the difference?

Anyway the league is definitely United's now, the race for second is hotting up however.

You reckon you still have a chance? I suppose you and millwall do. Scunny are finished.

A faint hope, ask me next Saturday. 3 games in 7 days against Coventry, Charlton and Swindon. All winnable but we could easy slip up, but 7 points would be a good return with Fleetwood and Bolton against each other, Scunny in free fall and Millwall hopefully distracted by the cup. Playoffs would still be decent, but we may as well go for it.

The thing about Bradford is that they've been playing well, dominating matches playing attractive football but struggled to covert their chances.

Their fans believe that once they click and start converting their numerous chances then they'll go on a good run of wins.

Yes this sums it up for me.

We also brought in Wyke and Jones in January, unfortunately due to injuries they only started their first game together on Saturday. So there is reason for renewed hope there, as missing chances has been our downfall this season.

How is Hanson getting on? See he's scored 1 so far. IMO not a goal scorer but he will be a useful foil for Billy Sharp as he was with Wells years back. Has he made any impact so far? That was probably why our fans turned on him, the fact that towards the end he had to lead the line and be our goal scorer which was never going to happen.
