Just out of interest really - is there one bookie you bet with or do you mix it up?

Personally i've got 21/22 accounts but only really use Victors, 365, 888 and Sky Bet.

All the others are from certain bookies being best price on oddschecker for horses or rinsing sign up/welcome offers during Cheltenham and the World Cup.

I don't bet online so it tends to be the closest bookies. While I was at uni it was Ladbrokes, now I've graduated and living back at home it's William Hill.

How come you don't bet online?

I'm totally opposite nowadays having used to only bet in shop but the difference in prices on many occasions is crazy.

Ha, it's a bit silly really but I don't trust myself not to get addicted and start betting on anything and everything. Visiting the local bookies means I am able to physically limit myself to a fiver a week.

As I said, totally ridiculous but it's worked so far and I've never really felt the need to bet online.

Used to go to the local Ladbrookes. Then laziness kicked in and I couldn't be bothered to walk to a bookies, so I downloaded the William Hill app and the rest is history.

Haha, totally understand you. Very easily done and got a lot of mates who end up betting on Kazakhstani Womens Under 19s Basketball because there is nothing else available in play.

The amount of price boosts/push notifications you can get can make it very easy to bet more, increase stakes and generally be more active than you would be having a £5 acca at the weekend.

I've been through stages where I have deleted the apps for a few weeks when i'm a bit skint to stop me betting on things I wouldn't normally bet on.

99% of the time I use Bet365, but occasionally use Sky Bet. When out before the game on a Saturday we all go into Coral so if im ever in town I use them.

Have accounts with Betfred, Coral, Hills and Paddy Power currently. I have a Betfair account too but have no idea what my login details are, I should sort that out as I used to enjoy Betfair.

I've deleted most apps now and only really use Hills or PP.

Bet365, non of the others come close to comparing. From the amount you can bet on, to the notifications on games, to the new 'live now' and 'cash out' features. Excellent site.

I've used BetVictor for a while after they tend to offer some of the best odds on accumulators. Considering switching though, their lack of a cash out feature being the main problem. Looks like Bet365 is the place to be

Shitloads come close. 365 offer relatively poor odds compared to a lot of bookies. It does however offer good promotions from time to time. Though if you want to take advantage of the bore draw insurance you're far better off betting with William Hill who offer you better odds in nearly all circumstances. Promos aside, BetVictor genuinely do offer you better value than the rest on football as well.
If you're using exchanges for betting rather than trading, I'd recommend using Matchbook who offer better odds and a low 1% commission compared to the likes of Betfair who charge 5%, Smarkets is also a decent enough exchange if you aren't looking to make obscure bets with large stakes as their site charges a 2% commission. Matchbook has liquidity, low commission but fewer markets, Smarkets has low commission a larger selection of markets, but relatively low liquidity and Betfair has the greatest number of markets and liquidity but absolutely takes the piss with the 5% charge and if you're a high roller there are additional charges to pay as well. Ladbrokes own Betdaq now, but it's still not improved much.

You have highlighted a couple of the issues that 365 have.

1) Poor free bet offers
2) Slightly worse odds
3) Enhancements are very poor

But they literally are the only things that aren't very good about it. The interface, the match feeds, the amount of live games, the amount of live coverage, the cashout, the live now feature, the entire layout, setup and 'service' you receive with Bet365 is miles ahead of most IMO. It's worth getting worse odds for, because there's a wider range of betting options you can use - (teams to score in X half, teams to win either half, team match goals, all during in play) make it miles better. Although IMO though, so.

I used to use Betfair but their complete lack of business acumen meant that I closed my account and went to Betdaq. When I encountered the same issue with Betdaq that I had at Betfair, their common sense approach meant that I stayed with them.

For the markets that I bet on, mainly football and golf, Betdaq has perfectly good liquidity.

Bet365 primarily.

SkyBet are atrocious, used to use them regularly when they gave you a £5 free bet if you had a £5 or higher acca on the weekend, when they changed that offer though I stopped using them apart from on the very odd occasion. Shit odds, shit markets and shit site.

I've got an account with about 30 bookies just to claim the welcome bonus' which has backfired now with all the offers you get nowadays.

I use Will Hill/Bet365 now but can't decide which one to stick with, I think Will Hill's site is a bit better cos you can view games day by day unlike 365.

I've got accounts with Betfair, Coral, Paddy Power, BetVictor and Betfred at least which I signed up for the welcome offer. I need to really see where I don't have an account and keep my eyes pealed for more!

I don't think 365 has poor offers actually, just that some of their offers are done by other sites better. However they stll do run some very good offers. Recently they were offering a free in play bet up to £50 if you placed a bet on a match prior, and gave 2 one weekend and one the following week. If you use exchanges you just lay the pre match bet off for the bet you've chosen, then you've got a free £50 in play bet with no losses. You can lay that off as well then if you like and just snag yourself a free £50. I do agree on customer service as well, although I've never needed to use them, a friend of mine had to when he overbet on virtual horse racing of all things. He usually put 50p bets on while he was bored, and on one occasion accidentally whacked £50 on. He rang them to explain that it was a mistake and that he didn't intend to bet £50 on a virtual race (this is all after he'd lost as well), and so they said based on his previous history of 50p bets that they can accept that he's made a mistake, and although they can't give him his money back they offered him a free £50 bet which he gladly took. He put it on a real horse at 7/1 and won!
