In case anyone was thinking of taking in this game (and who wouldn't be?) it's been postponed due to international call-ups on our part.

Never thought a L2 fixture between Yeovil and MK would be postponed because of international call ups, let alone Yeovil international call ups.

Republic of Ireland U21s, Benin and Luxembourg :brill:

Don’t poo poo Luxembourg. They are an up and coming nation. I used to live there, following Avenir Beggen. When we started to follow them they were in the top league and now in division 4 I think.

Their badge is an elf with a yellow hat humping a football, what is not to like?

You are not alone, Crewe vs Mansfield is called off.

Stags have St Kitts, Barbados and U21 Irish internationals called up.

The thing is though that Donnellan has been injured for the last month so hasn't played for us recently. He was never going to fit for international duty and as expected the ROI haven't named him in their squad.

Personally i think it was a sneaky bit of business on our part to give our squad a rest and allow a couple of players with knocks to recover. The game has been rearranged for a Tuesday night so there won't be as many MK fans there, which always helps.

What are people’s thoughts on IFollow showing the league games this Saturday for fans in the UK? Apparently the EFL have used the International games as some kind of excuse for clubs to be able to stream games on the Saturday 3pm slot.

Dangerous precedent or good idea?

Yep. Last time I looked they were countries. We're hardly going to have half the England squad are we? :ffs:

Of course not. Was just amused by the fact that it's internationals by those teams that have caused your match to be moved. Could you not have survived without those 3 players?

There's a Football League rule about having 3 or more players called up.

I believe we could have done so without too much fuss although Sessy would have been the key loss. Of the other two, Donnellan has only played the first two league games of the season in which we conceded 3 goals and we've yet to concede since. Mahmutovic has only been brought in within the last week or so and wouldn't be near a start should everyone we have playing out of their skins currently be fit.

Overall i'm inclined to go with Mr Gloverlover and assume it's a clever tactical ploy by Darren Way designed to give us an advantage over MK Dons on a tuesday night however you can't underestimate how important Sessy D'Almeida has been for us thus far and although he reminds me of a poor mans Clarence Seedorf (with all due respect to Sessy of course) and certainly no Patrick Viera, i'd rather not be in the position of having to play an important league game with 3 valuable points at stake without him if at all possible.

That said, we still have to get the job done v MK if the postponement is to be seen as a stroke of genius by our Daz however, with or without Sessy it will still be an extremely difficult task.
