I don’t think you can compare losing Wigan and gaining Derby is like for like personally. Derby are much larger of a club than Wigan.
If Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland don’t go up, we could end up with average attendances across the league not far behind the championship
We were dreadful but I’m not surprised, there were two things I considered before the game:
We don’t win on tv (3 in the last 34, now 35)
We end team’s bad runs
With all due respect, I often look at other teams forums when play them and they more often than not say how genuine the Town fans come across.
You get one thread heading that makes us look entitled but if you go in and read it, a lot of the replies down vote the post and tell them they’re...
You haven’t been laughing for a while then, first loss since January
But we knew there was only a small chance of play offs when McKenna came in, 10 points behind the play off group, who’ve played a game less. The fact we’ve managed to stay within a glimmer of hope with 6 games to go...
Apparently we’ve had 2,000 new season ticket holders in the first 48 hours since they went on sale at the start of the week, on top of those that are renewing.
Not sure how many we had last year but I think that was over 12,000. I can’t imagine many will be cancelling when you consider our...
Huh? Jog onto your own games, we’ve played each other now.
Town fans know we need a consistent goalscorer/forward. Bonne/Norwood/Jackson (to be fair he’s been alright since he came back before his injury)/Piggott aren’t good enough to get us out of this league by themselves.
We’ve built a...
Another win, another clean sheet, 11 unbeaten, over 2ppg average in 17 since McKenna came in and we’re still 5 off the play offs! Over 23k crowd again (brilliant away numbers from Plymouth over 1k).
What we need is Plymouth to now go on and carry on winning their games as that’ll mean the...
Come off it, don’t know whether you’re trying to joke there but fake injuries? When?! Wes Burns went down after a 50-50 and then Donacien rolled the ball out but that was the only time I recall a town player going down. I only recall your players going down and needing assistance from the bench...
I suspect so. We’ve been holding on for so long now, chasing down the pack with our good form (now includes 8 clean sheets in 9!) but everyone else keeps winning so if we drop any points it’s going to cost us!
Today’s offside goal was flagged offside for Woolfenden who didn’t touch the ball...
Yeah I know, our ‘actual’ average is 20,784 as we only get 559 away fans on average based on those figures.
There’ll be over 23,500 home fans tonight I reckon.
We might jump into second after tomorrow’s game on the home attendances as we’ve got c25k crowd. It’s the third of the Christmas cheap ticket voucher games but was called off at the time.
Could end up being the lowest season in 60 years, yet after Saturday it’ll be 8 consecutive games of over...
I agree, was a good game to watch.
Was a shambles getting in though! The queues were huge with no signs of what one you needed and the stewards were blaming fans for getting there late when queues started building up at 2.
They then opened/told us of another entrance which caused a fair rush...
Definitely can’t lose but there’s too many must wins and I think we need to be beating the teams around above us now at this point, taking the opportunity to get closer.
There’s been so many “what ifs” this season it’s frustrating!
I think the results that McKenna has achieved in his 8 games...
Look at the old heads we’ve had in the past and they’ve achieved nothing. Who creates the links anyway? Is it just random journalists making stuff up that sound potentially correct based on historical managerial appointments?
Never heard of the new guy, seems there’s a lot of good and bad...
Haven’t seen the situation but was listening to the game and the commentators said the initial challenge came off as a clear dive and it’s likely that may have let things boil over for Chaplin following the events of the last week at the club.
Not an excuse or reason to make it ok but a likely...
