*St Totteringham's Day is mathematically...
...impossible if... Spurs win + Arsenal draw/lose OR Spurs draw + Arsenal lose
...improbable if... Spurs + Arsenal both win OR both draw OR both lose (only 3pts between them but 14-goal swing in GD needed)...
Ending 2015 in free-fall and looking like gate-crashing the relegation party, the Saints have looked a new team in 2016. They're now closer to fifth than the bottom half.
One win in six ended City's title hopes and put their place in the top four under serious threat. They've put that behind...
Despite a pretty average season, United are in the FA Cup final and still have an outside shot of threatening fourth. Only almost-Champions Leicester (39) have picked up more points at home than them (37).
Leicester are one win (or a Spurs defeat) away from winning the title. They've answered...
Late February there was talk of Swansea maybe being dragged into the relegation battle but four wins in 6 saw them safe. Not really much to say. Back-to-back defeats have kept them in the midtable pack - with just two points separating 11th and 16th.
Liverpool still have an outside chance at a...
Drawing three of their last four, Arsenal have returned home to that all-familiar fourth place. It hasn't gone down too well with talks of a protest. Pretty much no chance of a St Totteringham's Day - for the first time since 1994/95 - probably hasn't helped.
Their opponents aren't worth...
Another of the midtable sides just waiting to see the season out, West Brom have gone 6 games without a win. They dealt Spurs' title hopes a blow on Monday and could do the same to West Ham's ambitions of a top five finish.
Unbeaten in nine, Hammers fans have been spoilt in the goals department...
With confirming their top-flight status looking a formality in mid-February and their focus shifted to an FA Cup run, Watford's league form has taken a nose-dive. If they weren't on the beach before, their cup exit last weekend ensures they definitely will be now.
Guaranteed to finish bottom...
Stoke have lost the plot, conceding 4 goals in each of their last 3 games. They haven't lost four league games in a row since February 2012 and probably haven't ever conceded 4 goals in 4 consecutive games (I mean has anyone?)
Thanks to some really, really terrible sides, Sunderland are...
Despite going on a winless run (14) only beaten by relegated Villa (19), Palace are safe. Their win over some pointless team in Norfolk - their only win in 18 games - enough to stave off being dragged into the relegation drama.
Ironically given hope by their fiercest rivals, Newcastle have...
Only Villa (W2 D4 L12) have a worse home record than Everton (W4 D5 L8). They haven't lost 9 home games in a season since 1993/94.
Bournemouth have picked up more points away (22) than at home (19).
Level on points, safely midtable, both sides are in sketchy form. Everton without a win in...
