Middlesbrough are set to take on Rob Edwards to be their new manager. I'm shocked to be honest. And weirdly, they'll have to pay Luton compensation despite them sacking him!
For context, Luton lost 5-1 in Teesside last season.
Luton were in for him earlier in the window supposedly. Looks very solid.
I would say we probably ended our interest when we confirmed Kal Naismith last week.
Becoming increasingly unlikely that Thomas Kaminski won't be returning for pre-season training. I would imagine he goes to Anderlecht or Standard Liege, although Aris Thessaloniki have also made an offer.
For context, he lost his dad suddenly at the end of last season, so I imagine being closer...
I don't recall us turning down £16M+ for Mengi last summer - if that did happen, I would stand corrected. A bid came in from Torino for a derisory loan-to-buy option which simply wouldn't have helped us in the short term. Around that time, having had a very decent PL season, qualified for...
I'd doubt that Mengi would be a super high earner in comparison to others. He wasn't brought in with the intention of being a starter on day 1. We just saw upside much quicker than what we probably expected.
He's still probably on around £12.5K/week at this level.
Tried posting some of this earlier, but the mobile version of this site is diabolical. But anyhow...
George Saville is likely to be the first (or one of the first) signings. He rejected a pay drop from Millwall today. He's 32 now, but he's played ~40+ games for the last 4 seasons so he can stay...
Not a signing per se, but it looks like Luton will recruit Marc Tracey as their new Head of Recruitment from Lincoln City. He is actually a Luton Town supporter, but my knowledge of the guy is limited to that.
My goodness we need a shake up in that department.
Second rumour for Luton is a left-footed defender, most recently at St Mirren, Richard Taylor. He turned down a new contract there and played in the Europa League qualifiers last summer and finishing mid-table in the SPFL this season.
Again, I've never heard of him but sounds like he was...

I guess I'm looking at it from a different point-of-view. Our budget will probably allow us to sign players that have the ability to significantly step up in the second tier, rather than sign players, get promotion and then struggle against relegation again. Easier said than done.
I wait to be...
For a player of our budget and level, Issa Kabore wasn't that bad. City wanted £14M to sign him permanently. He's been playing for Werder Bremen this season. Super quick, but raw. Can't defend and long term probably more of a #7 than a #2.
As for Drameh, looks like Hull want £1M for him. I...
The first transfer rumours involving Luton.
Inbound - Ronan Hale, a 26 year old ROI U21 international who scored 12 goals in the SPFL for Ross County this season. Reading are also rumoured to be interested. Never heard of him.
Outbound - Mads Andersen is interesting Malmo. He hasn't got a...
I honestly don't know what the point of us having (around) 55 professional footballers at our disposal at the end of August.
A lot of these will be playing development football, clearly. We are in the process of upgrading our academy status to Cat 2, so we want to demonstrate a pathway is there...
My season ticket next season will be a whole £10 cheaper to £460 (£20pm). That is a 5% reduction in real terms. New entrants will cost £520 (£22.61pm).
Very generous after two relegations clearly...
I think if Plymouth finished outside of the top 6, they'd be very disappointed. Since Wayne Rooney got sacked, they've been a different side. They seem to be organised off the pitch too.
