Not many fixtures then but plenty riding on the ones taking place.

Yeah i would rather Macc win too, i would expect Eastleigh to last the pace more than Macc especially with funds to strengthen in January, so would like them to drop a few points now.

Tonights performance will be heavily reliant on Dennis being fit, but no idea how likely that is. If not, then we'll struggle to score enough to win as I would expect the Vision to get at least 1 themselves.

Being completely real now, I think everyone is fully expecting the top quartet to be Cheltenham, FGR, Grimsby and Eastleigh in any order - the rest of us are fighting for the one final spot.

I heavily doubt Lincoln will get it, but it's nice to have our season still alive going into New Year for once - the next three games will tell us everything about how large/small our chances are.

Still have no idea how we have come away from that empy handed. Again missed chances cost us. Although we limited Fylde to few chances two devastating breaks orchestrated by Matty Hughes proved to be our downfall.

I am refraining from too much criticism though because tonight was much improved. Meikle was very impressive on home debut. Bradley had another good game. Even donkey Joe Ironside put himself about and had a decent game. Debutant Brad McGowan caught the eye with some good clearances too. We MUST build on today start taking our chances and learn how to keep clean sheets.

Having said all of above i still believe however its time for Nicky to part ways.

Anyway Saturdays game with Whaley Bridge must be viewed as a confidence building exercise and a go fill you boots exercise for the strikers before our must win game against Bradford PA on the 19th!!

The most infuriating thing about today has to be why dint we perform like that against the weaker sides who dont have the quality on the break that Flyde have!

We are no great shakes but look capable of grinding out results. Gateshead were woeful tonight, Aspin has got one hell of a job on his hands trying to turn that shambles around.

Yep, that's what I read a few weeks back on some forum or other. Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if this is indeed the case as money's tight so they can't afford to bring in more players of the calibre of their better players. Also looks like they're finding it hard to have enough ressies on the bench.

However, I'm still hoping they'll make the play-offs. We all love it - well, with the exception of the Alty fans of course - when a penniless* side upsets the status quo #MaccMachine2016
