I think it's just that lack of finishing quality we miss without Dennis, as would any side losing their key goal scorer. To be fair we have a few goals spread across the midfielders too, but these have also all been when Dennis is on the pitch as his movement opens up space for them to get either side of him.

Thankfully the trend in football is for ourselves and Lincoln to follow each other everywhere we go so looks like mid table mediocrecy for us both.

No way will we be escaping the division this season though. Next season depends on how quickly we're going to spunk this newfound wealth.

It will be interesting to see if the league stays so tight in the second half. If so could be a fascinating and potentially exhilarating/heartbreaking few weeks for a few teams. Cheltenham look to have hit a stride but below that there isn't much to seperate anyone down to Macc. Just depends who hits form.

Ground improvements will be costing a fair old wedge over the next few years too. It'll be tricky to blend that with a squad budget good enough to push on.

Neither Macclesfield or Lincoln are good enough for the play-offs. One, if not both, should make the top 10 is this distinctly poor division.
