Thoughts on Barrow Eastleigh guys - sounded like a good end to end game...

Fair play to Turkey. They're probably safe now.

Fixtures panned out well for them i.e. got their act together and easier fixtures at the same time.

Looks like there was one shot in Macclesfield v Dover in the second half, Holroyd after 47 minutes... Dover went a whole half without forcing Macc's stand in outfield goalkeeper into a save, or like... having a shot. What a fuck up.

Poor results for us. Didn't expect Grimsby to chuck that one away, that really has put us on the back foot.

We managed 1SHOT ON TARGET all evening. Fast losing patience with this, not scoring, aimless hoofball. Playoffs looking less certain with every game.

Grimsby could be in a spot of bother if they get beat by Dover on Saturday.

Delighted to see Torquay sort themselves out.

What's the chance Grimsby may fuck up the play-offs? Still got some tough fixtures left (except Woking) Tranmere on the last day may well be a massive game.

Grimsby are going to get dragged into this, aren't they. Very, very careless.

You'd certainly struggle to pick a potential play-off winner at the minute.

Well, it's a trip to Damson Park for you all to look forward to next season :woo::woo::woo:
One of the reasons for staying in this league is not having to play at the likes of Solihull Moors. Now, on the night we are officially safe from relegation, I find out that we'll have to play Solihull Moors! This just isn't right! Congratulations and welcome.

You're right. It's still a long shot that it'll come to that, but the last game has the potential to be huge!

Ha, my actual thought process was 'Dover or Eastleigh, but I also quite fancy FGR, and I can't rule out Grimsby or Tranmere'.

So touché!

Yep, hit really shit form at just the wrong time, not confident at all at the minute.

What's the chances that they don't even make the play offs...

Still don't think Braintree will make the play-offs but if Eastleigh make it then I'm no longer sure it will be Tranmere they replace.

They'll do it. Still three for one place, I think FGR, Dover and Grimsby are certain lock ins.
I'm not sure you can say that with any certainty - Dover could well beat them on Saturday and the gap would likely be down to a point.

Huge match all of a sudden.

Couldn,t make the game tonight, but nothing surprises me with this TEAM of ours. We have beaten all the top sides but have lost twice to Aldershot, Borehamwood and Lincoln. What a great game football is. Still got a chance of the PO,s if we can get 6pts from our last 3 games I reckon we are there. According to my pal who was texting me all night we deserved the win. Any comments Fishy fans?

But given they're four points clear, have an extra game and still have Woking and Chester to play... Of course, failure to get four points from them plus a loss to Dover would be very worrying for them.... I just can't see it, I think they have too much quality to blow it. Not saying it's impossible, but I'd be very surprised.

Plus Eastleigh and Tranmere still have to play each other so there's a guarantee there will be dropped points.

Looking at Braintree and Tranmere's games, maybe 79 points is realistic. Still would mean one win for Grimsby as their goal difference is that much better.

I'm calling:

2. Forest Green
3. Dover
4. Grimsby
5. Eastleigh
------------------------
6. Braintree
7. Tranmere

Congratulations to Solihull on their promotion.

As for who's going to make the play-offs, after tonight, I haven't got a clue.

That's it. We're down now. We needed something tonight because we won't be getting anything from playoff chasing Eastleigh or Braintree. Even if we beat Welling at home we won't have enough points to survive.

Back to the misery of the Conference North. Fuck.

WHAT A GAME, most eventful 0-0 I've seen in a while, possibly ever. How we survived pretty much 90 mins with Jack Sampson in goal I don't know but Dover will be kicking themselves for not forcing him to make a save in the second half. For a striker he made two absolutely fantastic saves in the first half but wasn't really troubled other than that.

You can't predict that. It means FGR vs Eastleigh, which guarantees one gets to Wembley - Absolute nightmare. It would also be the first time a playoff semi-final was decided by two games of Rugby.

Anyway, congratulations to Solihull Moors. No offence, but hope we don't play you next season, although you will be welcomed to Prenton Park if we do.

I think that's what Slaphead meant when he said fuck up the play offs, not lose in them but not actually making them.
Pretty sure we will still make them, but not confident about winning them with our track record in them and current form combined.

Didn't listen to our game, but glad to know we are back to being shit again. Seems somehow reassuring.

Imagine an FGR-Dover Final....don't think the Wembley bigwigs would be impressed with under 10,000 there.

I did and even the Eastleigh reaction on their site reckons we'll be right up there next season after the way we played - so not too disheartened
