spanking the teams at the bottom doesn't necessarily make you a good team :)

what happened with KL v Torquay? looked to be a game that would have loadsa goals.

What’s the National League South like then? We’ll only be there for a season on our way through to going bust (if we last that long).
Perfect for you lot. Although to be fair, you'll be one of the smallest clubs in that division.

Really shows you up if you think taking the piss out of fans in our position is the correct thing to do.

We'd be one of the smallest clubs in that division, just like the ground at PEPF was 70% done when we took it over :pmsl:

Meanwhile,.... little Alty go 3rd, despite two more injuries one shocking, kid needed oxygen after a bad tackle. Not sure how bad yet. Takes the shine off another win, but we are easily good enough for this league.

After 5 long, heartbreaking years it finally feels like a corner is being turned! Baby steps obviously but feck it.....i think we're allowed a little optimism (it does feel strange though!). I'd forgotten what it felt like to actually look forward and enjoy watching your team play!

Not gonna lie, i hadn't heard of James Rowe a month ago but already think getting this guy in is/will be the best thing to happen to the club since Paul Cook.

Shout out to Barnet, don't know what's going off down there but it seems pretty messy, hope you can sort yourselves out soon enough, as we know, it's not nice watching your team fall helplessly into the abyss.

Let them have their moment of fun, after all it has taken them over 30 years to earn the right to be in the same division as us. I know a lot has happened in that time, like we took over a derelict bit of land with 2 cow sheds and a barn on, while they stole Ruislip Manor's ground and put them out of business, but next season when we win NLS and they are relegated again, things will be different.

We are in a mess but good luck to you. Hopefully you have turned that corner and are heading back to where you belong in the EFL. Decent set-up and decent fans. Onwards and upwards for you.

Anyone know the crowd at Kings Lynn today with their £25 tickets?

Shh it was 70% done! Assuming they were going to build two pitch length stands out of straw that is.

You need to win one first  you could say that about most leagues with so many games not played, would rather have the points on the board.
won 2 already thank you very much
although i don't expect many more at the moment!

The Barnet lot seem rather tetchy at getting gubbed this weekend, despite having a wage bill double ours.

We, on other hand, beat Weymouth to move into fourth with our injury ravaged side. Weymouth were thankful to their 19 yo loanee from Southampton who had a blinder.

Certainly making me smile.

Weymouth are doomed if they continue to play like they did today. Fragile at the back, couldn’t get a foothold in the midfield and if we had any of our 3 main strikers available, that would have been a massacre.

In a relegation battle with Balanta and McCallum as your strike force, you have to hand it to him it’s very impressive from McMahon. I’m not crying your crying.

McCallum was like magic during his short spell with us, are your midfield giving him anything?

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Only surprise today was Shots scoring 2, albeit 1 was an own goal. Conceded a goal in the last 10 mins, for 4th or 5th time this season. Ogie’s 35yd. goal was a cracker, but our forwards were as inept as usual.
Dumb celebration after Wood’s winner, scorer rushed over to crowd, and celebrated with a number of unmasked youths. Not the best “optics” if we want to continue with spectators.

No nothing, we hardly create chances along with some very strange different formations, it’s all a shambles. McCallum was suspended today so can’t be blamed but from my view he barely looks interested along with quite a few, easy and good money in the bank already so no need to bother.

Our owners must think what’s the actual point.

Weymouth are the only team this season who have made us look decent!

You’re 12th in the ppg game table but that’s still a massive turnaround considering the start you had and the complete lack of a competent striker in your squad.

What a waste of a stream that was today. Thankfully no away fans at Kings lynn, 25 quid to sit. What a joke that was. Kings Lynn thoroughly deserved the point. We couldn't get our passing going at all and just gave them the ball time and time again. Another point though when not playing well. Onto the next game on Tuesday.

National League South is a piece of piss, as evidenced by Torquay and Woking's immediate return to the Premier the other year, it's not the graveyard that the North is for ex-League clubs- Kidderminster & Darlington currently in their 5th season there, York their 4th, Chester & Hereford their 3rd. You'll be back in no time, and all the better for it. :ds:

Standard stuff. Heard we were dreadful. Didn't watch the game, had other things on. Must try that more often.

Aye commentary job until the second one went in, binned it off and checked the score at full time, defence all got 3's and there was a classic Killip fuck up for one of the goals.

We're going to be between 20th-12th this season, we can see off the easy beats of the league but are too inexperienced to deal with good teams.

Challinor was getting raved about in pre-season.

You don't become a bad manager over night.

The season hasn't settled down yet at all and it probably won't until the Spring.

He's not a bad manager, in fact he' the best we've had in years but that doesn't make him immune to criticism, we're just too much of a basket case club off the pitch to have any consistent stability on it.

Unsurprisingly, Beadle has been sacked and is no longer about.

I have little faith that TK has the connections or desire to spend the money necessary to get us out of this mess, but at least it will provide us with some variety in our plummet to the NLS.
