You’re inherently non league though so getting to the 1st round isn’t second nature to you. Although genuinely who are Barnet’s rivals? Stevenage, fair enough. Orient, lol.

Your third paragraph sounds like a Kevin Keegan speech…
Historically, Enfield.

Recent years would be Stevenage.

Google our FA CUP results you may learn something fella.

In all honesty we don't have any rivals as such.

Stevenage probably but there's no real hatred. Just local to us.

I think its great Wealdstone are back in the league with us. I remember watching Barnet tonk you at your place late 80s. But it was always Enfield for me.

Yes this game is big, this will sound condescending but for Stones fans you will be directing a lot of your angst against us for your clubs failure to develop the Hive as yours. TK just capitalised on your clubs errors. Certainly at the moment your ground feels too big 4 us, we're in a slump v you are enjoying being back in this division.

We need to play you regularly for the rivalry to build.

I did listen to stones podcast and was surprised that you've never taken big numbers to away games....they were going back decades and yet in 80s you were a big non league team so I was surprised.

Should be a good atmosphere nice and toxic I hope. Goodness knows what team we are fielding based on injuries so probably the best time to play us.

It feels like forever since I last went to a game due to how my work pattern had fallen and before that having covid so I’m really looking forward to this one.
I fancy a 2-0 win here.

I'd go with:

...........................Loach
...........Williams, Grimes, Maguire
Miller..............................................Whittle
....................Weston, Khan
......................Mandeville
...............Tshimanga, Asante

Oyeleke in for weston if he's fit.

Hoping for a big turnout from town.
Is Maguire fit? I thought he was unlikely to travel.

We aren’t the bad guys. You ought to be all Aldershot today - Grimsby are your last play off spot rivals.
The teams at the top are always the bad guys, I'd take it as a compliment.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
If Aldershot sit 11 men behind the ball, they have a chance. Kings Lynn showed that on Tuesday.
I’m actually hoping you get an early goal, might be interesting to see us in our opponents half. But there again, our out-ball is to s̶t̶r̶i̶k̶e̶r̶ Harry Pan…

Webb said they'd assess him Friday, so I'm not sure.
Yes you’re right just listened to the interview again.

I’d go:

Loach
Williams Kerr Grimes Whittle Miller
Weston McCourt
Mandeville
Tshimanga Asante

Oyeleke on the bench.

I’d commit a terrible sin and play Whittle at RWB. Williams is no attacking threat and today we should be, um, attacking.

Cookie straight back in with 4 at the back, you love to see it.

Get ter fuck with your ‘5 at the back’ foreign nonsense Rowe you weird little fucker.

Not sure about Calvin Miller as a conventional LB however.

So much for letting Webb take this one . He's basically gone straight in with his 4-2-3-1, gotta love it.

1-0 Sousa, our scoring record without Coke on the pitch must be quite something

If we are playing 4-2-3-1 then miller will be left wing

0-0 HT. Sounds like we're dominating play but Olomula's understandable rustiness is why we're not ahead

Really enjoying this, I thought Aldershot looked decent for the first 10 minutes but then once we scored we had 10 minutes where we were all over them and should have scored a couple more.
Then just as the game was dying down a bit McAtee hits one from distance that it looked like the keeper had saved but somehow it seemed to go through his fingers.
Really good ref today too which makes a nice change, one big call just before half time where Waterfall fouled their guy just outside the box and Aldershot wanted a pen but I’m right in line with the edge of our box and it was just outside.
Hopefully we go for the kill second half as whilst were clearly the better side Aldershot look pretty good going forward and their no7 puts a great corner in.
