Taking any cup game, never mind the tinpot trophy to rate how good a side is not a clever thing. The league table doesn't lie. They have lost two games all season to Chesterfield and Solihull.

I certainly would have them down as favourites.

Whilst I agree I haven't been impressed the few times I have seen BWOOD on TV either. They are solid and have some good players (Mendy I like a lot) but there are a whole host of better teams than them.

Fyfield, Reckord, Boden, Will Evans, Marsh....these are all decent players at this level but nothing more.

Teams in the play off places now will have bad patches there’s still more than a third of the season left the top 7 aren’t just going to start winning every game and no doubt people will face each other sides will drop points with so long to go. We’ve got everyone to play above us other than Bromley they will be massive for us and essential if we are to make it if we continued our current form (won’t happen) we’d make the play offs at a canter.

The unfortunate thing for us about these 2 incidents, aside from the minging Kabby injury is that they've cost us 4 points. With 11 men on the pitch we almost certainly go on to beat Stockport, and without 10+mins added on yesterday we'd have walked away with 0-1, although I don't think we played very well. That's the story of the season though

I personally try not to read too much into PPG without looking at who has played who. The pressure on games in hand will inevitably play a factor, I think there's obvious merit in PPG but likewise there is in having points on the board too. Solihull have to play us, you and Wrexham so that'll play a fairly big part in it. Their fixtures look tough, so unless they beat those around/above them they're the ones I'm looking at dropping...I'm just not sure who else in terms of us getting in there. I feel like our fixtures are looking a bit kinder than a few of the others in the mix, especially our end of season run in. Like you say though, it's gonna take a big effort. Perhaps not monumental though.

The secret of BW’s success is organisation and teamwork , much as Sutton last season. A simple system, not relying on particularly good players, replaceable when unavailable. They are not impressive, until the final whistle blows and you realise that they have just beaten you.

I think coming in head on vs from the side makes a difference, not the difference between a red card and no foul at all, but it's the force of the other player moving in the opposite direction that adds more danger to it.

In real time I don't think these two tackles are even comparable, the one in the Stockport game is a red card for me, clearly off the ground, clearly makes full contact with the shin of the player studs up.
The one in the Weymouth game he is not clearly off the ground coming in from the side, gets the ball, just a solid, fair tackle.
Tshimanga has just been dreadfully unlucky to be so servery injured from a tackle that I think we'd all be happy to see any player make for our own team.

We don't know what the keeper was doing. I think we wish he hadn't just parried it over the line as well tbh.

Yeah it looked well over and closer images show it over on the second bounce.

Chesterfield were advised not to appeal. The reason being it was a nailed on red card as you say.

I am in agreement with most that our play off chances are minimal. But, I also think we are going to finish top 10, which is still a damn good achievement in such a short time and 4 straight wins for the first time since 2017 is such an upturn.

We will have a massive say in who finishes where though play off wise , looking at our run in and April fixtures in particular.

I also think we are going to be one of the teams to beat next season, without a doubt, as there are plans to strengthen again in the summer and with the team we have off the pitch and what we are achieving on the pitch, will not have us at the back of the queue for players, as we have been for far too long until recently.

This is the correct answer. Maybe the ref has a better view of it and saw something we can't see on the footage, but for me you can't confidently say studs were involved or if there was even much contact as it's an obscured view and on the opposite side of the pitch to the camera. It doesn't even look high to me based on what we can see? Pointless discourse at this point anyway, he got a red and that's that, move on.

Obviously not seen much of McAtee this season so can only go off other fans opinions of him, but if he is better than peak Hearn he must be good.

JT said on the radio yesterday that he wasn't even having a good game by his standards, he just happened to score two goals.

To be fair, our keeper dropped one of them into the goal for him. One of the worst howlers you'll see all season

From the pics it doesn't look like an ACL, more a break/fracture which is good for Chesterfield fans. Means he'll likely be back early next season, rather than being out for a calendar year.

We have only seem him in 2 games, but he seems a very forward looking player, who sometimes over cooks it running forward and can lose track of where the ball is on a run he is making. Puts a good cross in and very good at holding off a challenge.

That's my early thoughts on him, is that similar to how you found him as a youngster at your place and if you watched the game on the box on Saturday, did you see any improvements in him against Woking?

I think he was much more slender framed when he was at Wrexham (if you do a Google image search for him in a Wrexham jersey you’ll see what I mean), which coupled with his diminutive stature probably held him back. Now he’s got guns like bazookas I reckon he wont be able to be bullied off the ball.

Personally i thought he was poor.
From what i recall he would hang on to the ball too long, a selfish player who seemed to think he was better than he was.
He was a slight youngster when we had him not the beefed up version now, so he was often muscled out easily.
But, saying that, he was also in possibly the worst Wrexham squad we have had down here so probably hard to shine!

I didn't watch the game unfortunatley. I'll probably go and hunt it out as id be interested to see what he's like now.

When he was with us he was a lot weaker, and he also didn't have a clue what to do with the ball when he got it. So you'd get all the flicks and skills but they generally wouldn't amount to anything and he'd invariably lose possession. He was very poor. He had one good game out of the 20 odd he played, away at Maidstone on their plastic pitch- which seemed to suit him.

Five years of playing in what are tough leagues, and clearly working on his physique will have improved him I'm sure. He wasn't ready for full time football when we had him.
