Hilariously shite tonight. And I mean shite. Proper shite. Just think of the worst 45 mins you’ve seen your team play and you’d still be beating us.

Got to watch Accy first goal. Gentle back pass, no pressing forwards, keeper kicks fresh air and it’s 0-1.

Then said keeper gets his dress caught up with some kind of fanny flap and misses the ball.

Then a gentle stroll towards the box, 2 passes, and a 3rd goal.

Honestly, ive seen some shite in my time, but this lot take the biscuit.

That was a stroll in the park for us. Oxford didn’t get close to us, when they did all they could do was give away a foul. I think the only save Will made was a header straight at him. Very comfortable evening. I worry for Oxford, they looked very poor with very little spark. The Oxford commentators kept coming a live when shadipo??? Got it, but I don’t think he beat Ng all night, very similar to Dembele on Saturday.

Oxford looked like a team that are going through the motions just before they sack a manager.
We did not get out of 2nd gear. Finally taking some chances which is great to see (still missed 2 excellent ones tonight). I think the 2 cup games came at a perfect time for us giving us some confidence in front of goal. Ainley absolutely superb in his cameo. Also unsure why Shrewsbury never really gave Beckles a go at CH. Also some praise for NG. Been superb last 2 games after his poor start.

Robinson isn't going anywhere as he signed a new 4 year contract in the summer. Or it'd be a major surprise.

As said on the other thread, Crewe definitely deserved the win tonight. We couldn't do the basics tonight, utterly woeful.

Excellent performance from the Alex tonight. Could've been 4 or 5 quite easily and we really were excellent. Oxford a side disjointed and in disarray. Their RB put in the worst individual performance I've seen by any opposition player since Ryan Boot for Vale against us in 2018. Kirk had him on toast and he wasn't even tracking back in the last 10 minutes whenever he lost the ball.

Lovely to get 3 points over the odious Karl Robinson too. Never rated him as a manager and, if not for a lucrative contract, would be given his P45 tomorrow. The players clearly aren't playing for him.

Not sure which goal it was, but there's one tapped in at the far post and you're really, really passive over the full passage of player. That's ok if you're organised but it was just a midfield and defence not being arsed, not necessarily the quality of player.
