We are losing to Dartford now. Not sure how, what an awful result. Not that it really matters as we're not going up or down this season.
Lost because Kane Richards thinks he can run through brick walls, they went up the other end got a corner and someone, don't know who, headed in to our own net.

Wasn't a good performance anyway though, Dartford deserved something.

Welling, Alfreton, Nuneaton, Dartford. I can see the aways at Alfreton and Dartford (especially tired after playing on the Saturday) will be tougher than usual. I'd take 10 points with a smile, but apart from Macclesfield away I can't see many other matches Rovers could lose points in.
Even with my bluest of blue glasses on I struggle to see where your going to drop points from that lot. Hope I'm wrong obviously.

I don't know, just away matches against teams fighting to stay up aren't going to be easy matches. Yes they're better than Eastleigh and Halifax away but I wouldn't say here guaranteed at all.

What ever has happened in previous matches against the bottom sides counts for nothing at this stage of the season as they fight for there lives. Expect Barnet to win them but they can just as easily lose them especially with the form they are in.

Not a bad set of results for us tonight although it would have been nice if Barnet and Wrexham could have hung on. :sna:

It was all looking so good until those late equalisers. Still it's 2 points dropped for Eastleigh realistically, a win on Saturday and we're 4 off with a game in hand.

Gateshead didn't do you any favours though. Think possibly you may be just a bit too far back now, but who knows, maybe we can do you a favour at FGR on Good Friday. Wouldn't that be nice?

Urban, how many games have you attended this season? Why are you such a doom and gloom merchant? Why are you so pro bristol rovers? Why will they only drop points against Macclesfield? They drew with Halifax and lost to Eastleigh in their last two games?!

There is 3 other teams more likely to break into the top 5 before Woking

It would  Gateshead had basement Telford so wasn't expecting too much from them. Eastleigh look the most likely, then FGR/Halifax followed by Us/Gateshead. We have to play 3 of them so that could be key.

29 fouls in our game:ohm:

Says it all really. Another scrappy, stop start poor game. Not helped by one of the most over offious and whiste happy refs I have ever seen. How he booked Lenighan on HT I will never know. Much like Saturday without the winning goal. We certainly arent pretty at the moment but its bringing success

In terms of the actually match chances we at a premium. Lincoln went closest through Mendy but after that could only muster long range efforts. We created nothing of any note till the Second half when two big chances fell to the right man in Tom Shaw but he could finish Neither. The second one was a particulary good chance.

Another point closer to safety but looking at Chester result tonight we need to be looking at three points but I said that after Lincoln defeat to Welling!

Poxy Northerners. Deflected free kick as well. Sure we've lost more points through last minute goals than we've gained this season

Kind of makes up for the copious amounts of penalties you've earned yourselves.

Cheers for the slight boost Halifax, only makes Saturday more frustrating looking at the table though.

And as for Torquay...

Thats also Four consecutive clean sheets and 400 minutes without conceding. Some achievement for a team who had conceded 70 in the previous 34 games. Signs of real improvement.

I've attended about 9/10. It would've been more but I had an operation and so wasn't able to make any in December or January, unfortunately. Why is this important?

I wouldn't say I'm a doom and gloom merchant, just more grounded than other fans. I appreciate that I support Barnet who never do things the easy way, so unlike other fans who were getting all giddy when we were 11 points clear having played many 'easy' teams in a row, I was looking at the future where we had matches like Grimsby, Lincoln and Wrexham away which could upset things. It's not doom and gloom, it's realism and keeping my feet on the ground.

I'm not pro Rovers and by consequence I'm not anti Barnet. I think they are a solid team who, except for one tricky match at Macclesfield, have an easier or equally difficult run in than us. They're in better form over the last 6-8 matches. I just feel it's a fair point to raise to acknowledge these facts, rather than blindly get excited because we're top of the league. That's all. I'm quite shocked and confused as to why looking at things like this is so strange to some. I'm even more disappointed that some people feel the need to take the piss because I see things like this.

The vast majority of which fairly earned through defenders not having a clue how to deal with Akinde. Not our fault opposition defenders shit themselves when they see him!

Just wondering which clubs do it the easy way?

Not Barnet. 3 years of last day survival, relegation on goal difference on the last day with highest ever points total, blowing an 11 point lead this season... Yeah, we don't.

Some say that Akinde has legs made of rubber, that mysteriously fail whenever he is tackled in the box, the number of penalties won by Barnet might back up that theory...but there is no denying that the bloke is an absolute handful, with a real eye for goal, and I doubt if there is a supporter from any Conference team who wouldn't want him in their side.

Your completely entitled to your opinion and some times a bit of realism and dare I say it pessimism is healthy . I get a bit carried away sometimes and I have friends who have been watching rovers a lot longer than me who will say " carefull we're rovers we'll probably fuck it up "

It's always reassuring to know that however low we fall , city will always hate us and vice versa . I don't like change

The fact that you're proud about that makes it even worse. You're 13 points clear but during your game your fans was posting about our game. Surely even you think that's pathetic

Barnet were a throw back to the Unibond days when sides like Osset Albion would be shamelessly time wasting from kick off. Martin Allen was even petulantly refusing to give up the ball for a Town throw in the last minute. I think he stuck it up his jumper at one point. Add in the 2 wanky Barnet players still celebratiing their goal with the fans when everyone else was lined up to kick off again (we thought they were going to be taking selfies if the ref didn't put his foot down) and all in all it they gave a poor impression of potential champions. I think Rovers will romp it on what we've seen this week, and most Shaymen will be cheering them on. :eyes:

Not sure you can judge any team after seeing them play on that joke, the ball barely rolled.
More than happy with our second half performance and 1-1 was a fair result overall, both sides missed excellent chances to win it and both keepers had very good games.

Akinde is now on 7 bookings. Saville and Stephens have been rotated all season so I'm not sure it will make that much difference to us for him to sit out the Welling game. Thanks to Bristol rovers last 2 results there is a feeling that we've been let off the hook and our last two results have put us back in with a shout. Ask any Barnet fan if they are unhappy about 4 points against Eastleigh and Halifax away and I doubt you will see any complaints.

Another point on the board and two tough looking fixtures out of the way with minimal damage done.

Welling at home up next and however anyone wants to dress this up, that must be the most favourable looking fixture for any of the top sides.

I'm sure it won't be easy but this has to be seen as a real opportunity for us to push on towards our 90 point target.

We are losing to Dartford now. Not sure how, what an awful result. Not that it really matters as we're not going up or down this season.
There's a certain massive team that we had aspirations to finish above.
