2 votes per member on this one. The top 2 make the team to join De Gea, Bellerin and Fuchs in the backline.

Thanks for all 10 of the nominations. James Collins didn't make it 'cause he only played 10 games, Lee. I hope we can get past this in time mate.

Poll open 'til Monday. Mahrez Right midfielders next. Nominations welcome as always.

Huth and Alderweireld.

I wonder who Whitechapel and Dave vote for.

Gone for Big Wes and Huth. (Surprise). Though the best CB (overall not this season) is Alderweireld. Can't believe nobody else went for him in the summer. Arsenal with him in alongside Koscielny could have been immense. Just shows how underappreciated he's been given the clubs he's moved to and the fees involved. No offence to Spurs or Saints.

I've gone for Toby and Huth. Both have been outstanding this year and deserve spots in team of the season. Big Wes just misses out for me. And what happened to Scott Dann. He looked brilliant until Christmas but has been pish since. Kind of like Palace I suppose, but still.

No love for wes morgan.....him and aldy...

Should point out chris smalling no longer make me wince everytime he's picked. a marked improvement. Look ok next to blind. Not in the same catagory as the two above though.

Why not? Maybe not Alderweireld as he's obviously been the standout CB this season (although I think Smalling could be atleast as good as him in a settled team) but Smalling is as good a pick as anyone else (can obviously understand why the majority of people have gone for the Leicester players).

Picked it picked Alderweireld for being the best this season and Smalling because he plays for the team I support.

Both players are the leaders at the back for the two clubs with the best defensive records.

Willian for being pretty much the only consistently good Chelsea player this season, possibly.

Surprised to see Huth and Morgan ranked so well, Leicester were an absolute mess defensively up until mid-Feb. Smalling and Alderweireld for me :)

Maybe try watching some football. You'll probably find it's more like since mid October...
The fact Toddles endorses your POV should be seen as a negative!

We conceded 17 goals in our opening 10 games. We've conceded 14 in the following 23. Since October we've had the best defence in the league. Spurs have conceded 17 since then, Man U 22.

You should be ashamed that you've made me resort to Rafa memes because I couldn't find a Ferguson one.
