...whereas we haven't had a penalty since December 16th and that guesswork debacle at Middlesbrough,

That said I can't remember a genuinely stonewall penalty being turned down since then. I remember the days where people used to say we had a "big club advantage". How about the most attacking teams get the most penalties?

We had a spell early in the year where we rarely seemed to get over halfway let alone into the penalty area so thats not surprising to me!

Blackburn were completely robbed at Brentford, should have had two penalties.

Looks like Dack has done his ACL again, his other knee this time, only been back for around 10 games I think.

He can stick to being an influencer then.

I'd also say there should be a clampdown on these silly run ups at penalties. Toney's and Ayew's this week have been ridiculous.

Totally agree with this. Especially at the top level with VAR where keepers are being penalised for being millimetres off there line now.

What was Matty Pearson doing there? Gifted a 3 minute lead.

Bad goal for us to concede early. NJ won’t be happy at all as he called that out specifically before the game. Pearson gets done by the flight of the ball/wind and exposed his lack of athleticism, Naismith let’s him come inside and then free runners in the centre of the box. All around defensive failure really.

A shame as other than that I think first 10 mins or so we’ve looked quite bright.

Don’t think it was just his fault although his error was the major one. Naismith should have done better than half commit to a challenge as well. But yeah, think we need to move on from Pearson next season.

If we can score soon they look vulnerable, esp when we press

I hope I eat these words, just James Bree really needs to start getting in this game, having returned to the side. He has been slow and found wanting a couple of times already, plus 3 dreadful corners. I said last week I'm not sure where he's going in his Luton career... I still don't know.

Think Clark is a better right back than him honestly.

Think we have played really well but the games gone in the way many of our games at this level have, our mistake goes punished and we haven’t been able to punish there’s.

Luton done everything but score.

Swansea remind me of us early in the season.

Get a goal then do anything to try and hold on whilst being rubbish.

Kyle Naughton has to be on a final warning now.

I don’t think Harry Cornick is going to score this season, just nothing has come off for him in front of goal.

Really not sure how Swansea (a) have won that and (b) how they've got into the top 2.

Well that was incredibly frustrating. Just nothing went for us today at all, dominated the game but just lacked the quality to finish off the numerous openings we created.

Ultimately though we made the crucial mistake in the game, which got punished. Just not good enough in both boxes.

Swansea did not impress at all but I guess having scored early they had something to hold onto. Kind of sums up this weird season really, no one wants to over exert themselves because the schedule is brutal.

Like us earlier in the season.

Nick a goal or win whilst looking pretty average.

To rub it all in we'll probably lose or draw today.

Think Cardiff might be too strong and they really are in form/need points.

Wycombe away, they physically bullied us in the 2-2 at Deepdale and although it was 90% a second string from us in the cup, it was men against toddlers.

Need to really step up and compete in this one or else I think we'll get turned over, having some mobility and physicality up top in Evans gives me some hope though. Perfect game for Huntington so i'd keep the back four as it is, same team but Gordon over Barkhuizen hopefully.

Ivsersen
Van Den Berg, Huntington, Storey, Cunningham
Browne, Whiteman
Sinclair, Johnson, Gordon
Evans

the key is getting an early goal, we score so few that if you can get a lead, you’re a fair part of the way there. Then we’ll just huff and puff but ultimately create very little. That said, we've already drawn against you so it's not like you're streets ahead (I don't count the cup game as you played a second string side). 1-0 PNE I reckon.

This team is soft as shite, anyone aggressive and physical can get a result against this lot.

Can't wait for the summer and another clear out.

Ainsworth will no doubt target Jordan Storey who is weak as piss.

Seems the ’Outlaws’ jury is in, on Bree. Im guessing we are kinder but agree?

I thought Tunnicliffe Pelly and Clark were very good today. Goal aside ( where he got caught in two minds and punished) Naismith was very assured again.

ok, well yeah.

We've far from won the game, but your lot don't look up for the battle on the evidence of the first half.

Our commentators were saying how badly you were marking Tafazolli from corners (Evans was his marker), I mean it took us 4 or 5 corners to score, but it's not like you didn't get a warning.

I don't think you've got enough bite in your midfield either from the game so far, we've got 50% possession (which never happens, we're lucky if we make it to 30) and we're actually picking passes in midfield rather than hoofing, which indicates to me you definitely need a spoiler in there to stop us doing that.

Anyway, plenty of time left for us to choke and screw it up, we'll see.

It’s a shame as it’s such a good performance today by us that we have to speak about players who we don’t think played well but I do get it with him. I was very wary of us signing him in the summer. He played brilliantly toward the end of the season, but pre lockdown would anyone have said “yeah I really hope we get James Bree back”. Not for me. He just leaves you wanting a lot more too often.

He has been in and out this season as he got signed late and missed the short pre season. I think we need to look to give him a run of games to give him some rhythm to see if he improves and take a view as to where he is then. Not willing to write him off as a bad lot just yet but he needs to put in some performances soon when given the opportunity.

It looks like James Bree is a confidence player - he only got his contract in the summer because of Jones giving him an arse kicking when he came in last year and then improving his form as a result. I don't think him being hauled off a few weeks back (I think v Stoke) did him any favours. He clearly has the ability, but just didn't look like he had any desire today. He is a wing back - he looked pretty lost between being a defensive RB and a right winger.
