Will take that, free scoring this lot with a lot of creative quality.

Was always going to be a case of keeping it tight and waiting for our moments.

Sinclair had to spend too much time in his own half helping out with Ejaria and nothing really fell for Riis.

We need 6pts from Sheff Wed & Rotherham really.

Don't mind if you get 3 off Wednesday.

How's Iverson doing?

Lost opportunity as that was a game in hand.

Disappointing really as there were good moments .

Least they didn’t nick it which would have just summed the night up!

Great win for us today although marred by Dabo's injury. We're now without 5 of our strongest starting XI, which would be 6 if Marosi hadn't just come back a two month long injury. Luck with injuries this season has been horrendous.

Sheff Wed away, need 3pts in this one really.

Cunningham in for Rafferty is the only change i'm expecting from the draw with Reading.

Has Evans got on the pitch yet, or is he a super sub waiting to be brought on ?

Had two 15 minute spells off the bench where he had no input, so he's replaced Jayden Stockley well.

Blackburn for us today a great attacking side but a bit more susceptible defensivley which is keeping them firmly in that midtable area. Definitely a darkhorse for a playoff push though if they can sort themselves out defensivley which they might have done as they have only conceded 1 in there last 3 league games.

We are apparently approaching fully fit - although seems like Morrell might still be out with a heel injury. Been a frustrating time for him as he cannot seem to break into the side. I like what I see from him but i dont see how he fits in how we are playing right now.

Be another game where we look to keep it tight, frustrate them and see if we can nick something i suspect.

Very strong XI and bench for us today, with only I think four players unavailable currently (McLean still self-isolating while McGovern, Stiepermann and Byram continue their recoveries from injury):

GK: Krul
RB: Aarons
CB: Hanley
CB: Gibson
LB: Giannoulis
CDM: Rupp
CDM: Skipp
RW: Buendia
CAM: Vrancic
LW: Cantwell
STR: Pukki

With the likes of Sorensen, Dowell, Placheta, Hernandez, Zimmermann and Tettey on the bench, as well as Mumba and Idah making their returns from injury and self-isolation.

Though I expect Middlesbrough to provide very stubborn opposition today, as Warnock's teams always do, that is such a strong squad and should be more than enough to see us through from here.

Much more open game than I was expecting so far, with Boro being far more willing to break forward than I was expecting, while also giving us a lot of space centrally (we've had Hanley charging forwards towards the edge of their box on several occasions already). They're also keeping Buendia and Aarons under control well so far, so we're not getting much luck besides that effort Vrancic somehow sliced wide.

Early thoughts on Giannoulis: pacey and very eager to get forwards, but not yet up to speed with the runs of the rest of the team so not offering much with it. We also look a fair bit less solid on that side without Sorensen in the left back position. The former is definitely something that will improve as he gets more minutes under his belt, at least.

Half-time, and we're being thoroughly Warnocked thus far as expected, though we have options on the bench to tweak the system at least.

Well, good job Buendia you absolute moron. No need to get sent off and probably see us lose this game and struggle in our next one without him. This idiocy of his is the only reason we still have him, at least, but it's so costly.

No shot on target for the second game running, and we're being completely outplayed and outwitted here.

Seems like the fully fit thing wasn’t true as Bree not even on the bench today. Big miss, was a big part of us playing so well at Brentford, and leaves us with 2 pretty defensive minded fullbacks playing in Pearson and Potts.

Two points dropped, yet again no shot on target and Buendia suspended for Millwall in midweek. At least Brentford and Swansea drew with each other in midweek, I suppose.

Not much quality on show there. Standard Warnock game really. Only real take away is how impressive it is that even after 500 years in the football business officials still haven't caught on to Warnock's tricks.

Normally after a Buendia red card I would criticise him for being petulant or stupid. Not sure that's the case with this one. Moment he was booked Farke needed to have taken him off. It was clear from the off what Boro were doing and it was only a matter of time before he went. He only lasted as long as he did because the ball wasn't going anywhere near him. First time the ball is near him, Boro take full advantage. Warnock's many things but he's not daft.

Maybe a back 3 with Clark wing back? But thats not Potts strong point.

Oh yeah, I forgot Buendia has already been sent off like this once this season, so he'll be missing two games rather than just one which, with Swansea the opposition next weekend, is really not ideal at all.

Cornick putting a shift in and looking dangerous which is good to see. But our final ball as ever is poor too often

0-0 at half time but a really good game despite no goals. Weathered some early pressure well but have grown into the game and playing very well. It’s a bit like second half against Brentford though in that despite having some good spells of pressure the chances aren’t there to match that pressure.

Good play but final ball isn’t there. Missing Bree delivery from wide areas definitely.

To be fair, they've been pretty good in wide areas. We've more than competed in that first half and probably unlucky not to be ahead. Good defending from both teams though.

Considering Blackburn's resources, they should be doing a lot better.

Beaten us at our own game. There was nothing wrong with either goal - the problem is that ours got chalked off.

Blackburn have really got a lucky break today, but if we play like that for the rest of the season, we won't have any problems staying up.

Its the reason we need a good striker though.

Frustrating as we should have had a point today at least. Not sure what was wrong with our goal to make it 1-1, couldnt make out who could have been offside there unless it was from the original free kick.

Frustrating day but positives there. Goal aside we defended well and we put them under pressure for consistent spells at times.

Concern for me is reliance on KDH in the final third, feels like he needs to do it himself at times - lost count of the amount of times hes picked it up and driven at the defence, released a good pass only for the likes of Cornick, Pelly, Collins Clark to not make the most of the moment. Someone needs to step up in that area of the pitch and match the quality he is providing. Good pressure and play in spells today but i cant really recall the keeper having a meaningful shot to save other than KDH from distance late on.

Their subs worked.

Ours didn’t.

Basically the difference.

Never look like scoring from open play.

Deeney offers you nothing, surely you have someone else who can take a penalty as that all seems to do.

Also seems to have embarrassed himself with some pre match comments that now make him look a little silly.

How many penalties has Deeney scored?
Just looked and he's scored 7 goals in 13 starts this season with 3 assists, still looked a good player against us.
