Rotherham badly need a win against Brentford tonight.

Didnt get that badly needed win unfortunately for them. Now even winning their game in hand (against us) doesn't put them above Derby now.

A shame as I really would like Derby to go down just for how that club has been run in the past few years but i cant see Rotherham having enough to haul it back in now.

Lucky bastards Derby.

They'll probably pull £10m out of nowhere in the summer and get top six next season.

From all accounts this new owner is not the moneybags they fans thought he would be. Bit of a shithouse apparently.
And it’s not over yet. Can see Wednesday beating forest and derby losing at Swansea. Then it’s onto the last day.

Title secured with a big 4-1 win against Reading today, Dowell scoring two, Pukking getting one and Quintilla scoring his second in two games with a free kick from 25 yards.

The most interesting developments coming at the bottom, though, with Derby falling to defeat and Wycombe winning to keep that relegation picture wide open. Sheffield Wednesday are three points behind Derby after their draw today, so that final game could be huge. Though, Wycombe and Rotherham are also both three points behind going into the final game. Goal difference probably dooms Wycombe still, but they've done very well to take it to the final day.

Nothing game today - even more so with 2 early injuries picked up and no Sarr or Pedro in the team.

So best we could hope for was 0-0.

AFCB rested players today with one eye on the playoffs, but fuck it, you can only play what’s in front of you.

It was a very niggly and physical game, but the ref let a few things slide which I suppose encouraged that.

In a few games this season, we haven’t really had the luck go our way, so it was pleasing to have some jamminess in our favour - AFCB blazing over a free header from point blank range, and us getting the slimmest of deflections on an on-target shot to push it onto the crossbar.

It’s an impossible task to stay up given our GD, but I can’t complain that the players haven’t given it everything.

How did Harry Wilson not get in the team of the year?

He’s a bit boom or bust really. Hadnt scored since February then scores 3 incredible goals in one game all from distance which is his speciality.

Good player with a great highlight reel but not sure he’s consistently that good.

Ched Evans has to be the most surprisingly successful signing this season. He's still a really good player.

I didn’t realise that Cardiff were paying his full £60k a week wages and a £1.2m loan fee. Which is more than half their entire TV income this season. Ridiculous.

This season has been pretty fucking terrible but we have a very good chance of securing a very respectable 13th if we get a result against Nottm Forest and Stoke draw or lose to Bournemouth.

4 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat and 5 clean sheets in McAvoy's seven games.

Imagine it'll be the same team.

Sorry Luton guys but hopefully Rotherham can get a win to make the last day even more interesting.

Pretty entertaining game so far, both teams looking a bit shaky at the back leading some chances for both sides. Think we have had the better chances just about but lacked the quality at times to finish things off - ops normal there then.

Cornick on at half time - his first action to be flagged offside. Nice to know some things in this world are ever constant.

Entertaining game but no quality in the final third from either side to speak of so ends 0-0. Felt we had a legitimate goal ruled out from Bradley right at the end, penalised for a foul when if anything he was the one being fouled - but not going to get too upset with it, top half finish secured so happy with it.

We have a lot of work to do tho. Our defensive record has come on leaps and bounds. Have to give credit here and a lot goes to Sluga, who still gives me the willies with the ball at his feet, but hes been practically faultless this season.

Its come at a cost tho. Our goals against doesnt look out of place for a playoff side. Our goals for column isnt out of place for a relegation team.......

I think next season that'll change though - the last 2-3 months we've become a bit more adventurous going forward and I think this position will convince higher profile attacking players to join up. The first half of the season was boring but effective.

Depends on what business we do in midfield if we crack on or fall back

I can see Derby sneaking a win tbh.

But my predictions are usually wrong !

Least Sheffield Wednesday know they have to win so will go for it whereas Derby will be in 2 minds as to do they attack or sit back on the point?

And hope Rotherham don’t win .

I hope Derby go down to be honest with how severely mismanaged they are and how they've been exploiting loopholes in Financial Fair Play for years. At least one season in League 1 should give them a good chance to reassess their priorities and gain a bit more realism when they need to bounce back. By the same notion, I think Sheffield Wednesday deserve to go down after such a poor season, so would like to see Rotherham somehow pull off the win they need.

My expectation, however, is that Sheffield Wednesday will win and stay up, as I don't really see Rotherham getting anything more than a point out of Cardiff after their rigorous schedule over the last few weeks.

Despite our massive improvement this season i still find myself looking nervously down before I look up. So, selfishly, the more smaller clubs the better. Huge summer for us business wise, but then it is for everyone - and i have faith in our board to do better than many bigger than us.

The long and the short if it for me is similar to above that both Weds and Derby look like theyve fiddled the books to gain an advantage and get to the Prem. So, please Football Gods, let them both go down for their own sakes too, so the Clubs - ie fans - can refind themselves and shed the dodgy ownerships.

Time for football to clean itself up and it will only come from the fans. And what point in time suits better than right the fuck now.

Basically got a League Cup round one side out today.

Swansea ought to win easily.

A few changes for us today, Giannoulis returning from suspension, Hugill subbing in for the injured Pukki and Tettey and Vrancic getting one final run-out in the yellow and green before their contracts expire. Nice to see Tettey given the captain's armband as well for his final appearance after 9 years of stellar service.

Rotherham a goal up already. Great strike by Wing. Wouldn’t mind us taking a look at him in the summer, he’s available.
