Kidderminster not even looking for manager, just head coach. A bit odd for a confrence club. More a continental style found in top two divisions like steve mcclaren at newcastle

Thought someone should add Steve Burr into the running in here.

Gary Brabin must be leading the race for the sack at the moment. The Tranmere forums are in meltdown at the moment with mass hysteria. It's not that long ago things were looking quite rosey at Tranmere, but if results carry on the way they are he's for the chop by the end of the month.
Personally I think there's a good manager in there somewhere and would like the man to be given more time, even though thoughts of automatic promotion are a distant memory and chances of a play off spot fast receding.
What would you do, stick or twist?

They change their mind on him on a game by game basis. One minute he's the man as he "knows this league" etc, next minute he is rendered useless after they've lost to a tinpotter at home. I think he's a decent manager at this level but never good enough to lead a team out of it, as he's proved previously.

Think Kelly will be a front runner.

The bloke's an absolute moron, here's some highlights of the shite he comes out with:

"We're looking at making the play offs, I believe we can do it" - on the day he was appointed

"I can't ask for any more from the players" - after losing 7-0 at Grimsby

"we looked unstoppable, if we carry like that in the league we'll get top 10" last week after losing 4-0 at home to Wycombe.

At least Aspin was humble and honest, this guys blowing smoke up everyone's arse.

At least Aspin would have taken us down fighting tooth and nail and with our dignity intact. Best, in fact the only thing they can do now, is put Coco The Clown on gardening leave and promote Jim Harvey to team manager. God help us. :ffs:

There is, he's called Neil Aspin and reported to be now on the staff there.

I was told he said on Radio Leeds that we're "guaranteed" a top 10 finish before yesterday's game.

You need a manger that is better than Brabin. I was unconvinced when you appointed him and was willing to see what he did, but I think with your budget you need to get a manager in that will use it better than Brabin has. If you leave it too late to replace him you might be blowing your chances of a play-off spot this season.

Was talking to a couple of Tranmere fans on the train on the way back to York yesterday, they reckon he'll be gone if they don't beat Guiseley next Saturday.

Yesterday was the first time I can recall chants of "Brabin sort it out" and "are you Adams in disguise", as opposed to individuals heckling. He wouldn't have been my choice as either I'd have gone for someone who had a proven track record including getting a side promoted from this league, or if we felt that going straight back up was unlikely[my view] an up and coming manager who'd be allowed time to build a squad for the long-term.

Brabin has created a totally unbalanced squad. A glut of central defenders and forwards, no established right-back, scarcity of central midfielders and wide players and a lack of pace in the side. Hence we get a lot of square pegs in round holes. He hasn't created the squad to offer many tactical options if plan A fails and seemed deluded that we'd played really well against dover in the second half, so we would adopt a similar approach at Lincoln.

The Palioi aren't quick to fire, I might not be posting here, if they'd got shot of Adams when it was clear he'd lost the plot and we still had the chance of preserving our league status. My guess will be he stays until either we're at risk of getting relegated or the fanbase makes it impossible for him to remain.

Both of Guiseley's fans spending Sunday afternoon practicing to introduce 2 part harmonies into their "Sacked In The Morning" Neil Aspin duet. :smug:

Seeing as he took over when we were mid table in the Conference South, I don't even think he would be sacked if we went down.

He's still popular with the fans, although he has made some strange tactical decisions in the last few weeks.

It's difficult to see our form changing any time soon though. I would be surprised if there's been a worse home performance all season (by any team) than that shit yesterday.

Us winning at the Kingfield on December 5th to get him the sack is an appealing notion. He can stay until then.

I wonder if he's still sending grapes to Scott Rendell on his deathbed.

Still not going to games with Moyses in charge since we beat you in February? :hypo:

I made that pretty clear it was to the end of last season as I was unhappy with the players' attitudes, but nice try. But it's ok, I would try and fabricate things too if we were having the season you're having.

I look forward to our clash in three weeks.

Halifax's performance against us was amazing. I'm not sure I've seen a side play that bad at home before. It says a lot that we've only one once in our last ten and our win was against them.

Halifax were absolute shit that day, agreed. They still didn't concede 5 though.

Maybe I should be like CrazyImp and only turn up when we're doing well.

Have to agree there after seeing you yesterday not good at all.
GTF looks past it and Tomo is carrying a good couple of stone and woefully out of form granted playing him out wide doesn't suit him.

True, they could have easily conceded five had we not taken our foot off the gas when the game was won after 60 minutes.

I was pleased to see how many Woking fans stayed right till the end yesterday. A handful left early but the large majority stayed. It's all too easy, for some, to only make the effort when things are going well and then go missing when they aren't. We've had almost five years of constant success but the team need our support now more than ever. Classic seeing people on here suddenly reappearing after a win or two.

Not too surprising, although I can't imagine Southport doing much better even if they had Guardiola in charge of them.

It was overdue. Even by our own generally low standards we've been awful this season. Hopefully we've already been on the phone to Aspin.

Southport gave us a reasonable game, but have had some bad results. Reading the fans forum, there sems to be concerns about a lack of leadership at the top.

Shame you can't have Brabin back.

Would be the perfect job as Aspin's stepping stone back.

Not sure what Southport can hope to achieve at this level no matter who the manager is - they'll just be perennially fighting against the inevitable.

I'm not convinced Aspin would be the right choice either having come fresh out of a struggle with his previous club, fair bit of negative momentum there.

Toss-up between Brabin, Hill and Edmondson for the next chop.

I thought Carden should of gone earlier in the season as there was a clear lack of discipline in the Southport ranks as they seemed to have players sent off every game. Think current Port player Gary Jones will be in the running for the vacancy!

Until reading their forum I didn't realise Southport were a full-time team.

How are they supporting that?
