Making a weekemd of our trip to Chorley. Setting off later this morning.

Some big games down the bottom tomorrow. We could quite easily end up in the bottom 3 come 5pm as if we turn up with the same lax attitude a physical chorley will easily roll us over.

If Alty could beat Worcester and Curzon could replicate what they did last week to Gainsborough that would be great.

Btw Just noticed games are rapidly running out for Gainsborough. Look at this for a run in -

Curzon (H)
Nuneaton (A)
Fylde (H)
Tamworth (A)
FC Halifax (A)
Darlington (H)
Chorley (A)
Stockport (H)
Salford (H)
Brackley (A)
Kidderminster (H)
FC United (A)

I hope we can beat Gainsborough. I firmly think we are safe if we can and then it allows us to really kick on the rest of season.

Trinity have signed Lincoln United's Captain and CB. Pretty sure Frecklington signed him when he was at United.

He was very impressive in pre-season against us and seems highly thought of. Big step up to the North, though.

Well, that was hard work! What a poor side Alfreton are, scored from their only chance in the game, we all know our pitch is crap so no excuses there but we finally managed to score twice in the 87th minute and the third of the four added minutes. Worst game I have seen this season, but I suppose if you can win ugly there is always hope. On to Stockport next Saturday, looking forward to what should be a really good game.

Crucial 2-0 win for us today vs Stockport, ending their long unbeaten run stretching back to November, and extending our run of consecutive home victories to 11. In all honesty, Stockport were the better side on the day and had they been more clinical they would have taken the points, they missed 3 clear cut chances, including Danny Lloyd hitting the woodwork. We scored our goals from our only 2 real chances. Also, big relief for Arthur Gnahoua who finally ends his goal drought - first goal since mid December.

We arent very good by any stretch of the imagination. We are 17th for a reason. We are better at home. But that was much improved performance and we certainly got a required reaction from last week.
Unfortunately its the same old story. Sitting back inviting pressure and folding in the final minutes. Extremely frustrating. Also Russ was tactically naive by waiting too long to bring Clayts on. It was painfully obvious.
Think Chorley will miss out on play offs based on that.

Altrincham aside cannot see us picking up another away point. Its all down to our home games. Starting with a HUGE 6 pointer v Stalybridge next week. Fail to win that and the fact we havent won since Nicky left will become a monkey on Russ shoulders

So, without even playing we've gained a potential 6 point cushion on 6th place. How shit is this league? :fl:

We've won a league game! At home! First one since April 23rd 2016.

I didn't go, so couldn't tell you anything more.

I'm sure Salford have claimed there are several dirty teams in this division so it would be impossible for them to be put in that category wouldn't it?

Pretty disappointing yesterday. Two-nil flattered Kiddy, scoring pretty much with their only two chances of the game, the first one of which was an awful mix up between centre-half and keeper when the centre-half should have just put it in the stand. We have been pretty bad at converting our chances all season which we've managed to get away with against lesser sides but against decent sides like Kiddy we were always going to get punished. Even Lloyd is less clinical than he was earlier in the season. On the positive side I think our make-shift midfield consisting of two defenders did quite well (though Meppen-Walters has played in midfield a few times this season it's not his preferred position).

I still think the play offs are just about out of reach for us. Our only hope is that we get another midfielder in to replace Osborne (who has just gone back to Fleetwood) and that Gonzales proves himself to be more prolific in front of goal than I suspect he is capable of being, or that Lloyds rediscovers his form from earlier in the season. For everything else that Odejayi and Amis bring to the side, goalscorers they ain't. Even on what I suspect was an off day for Kiddy they look a shoe-in for the play-offs and a decent shot for the automatic place - not exactly imperious but ruthlessly effective just like they were at EP. Their full-time status shines through in their ability to manage games effectively, no doubt enabled by the extra time they get to spend working on tactics and organisation and stuff.

Good win yesterday, Stockport probably the best side I've seen us play this season, if they could finish their chances they'd have beat us. 2 defence mistakes led us to scoring, the first the defender has to be clearing the ball over the top, Stockport keeper has no chance of coming for the ball and Gnahoua runs through to end his goal drought.

The second goal was awful defensively from Stockport, 4 men round Arthur Gnahoua but he still manages to get a cross in to Elton Ngwatala who is comepletly unmarked in the box to head home.

Ref didn't have a great game for either side, Keith Lowe ran his luck for us and maybe could have gone.

Hope Stockport make the playoffs, they are one of the teams I'd like to see go up if we don't.

Won 3-1 and we looked very comfortable. The 2 loanee players we have in defence stand out like a sore thumb and we get back on track after 2 disappointing results. Roll on the Kidderminster game

Lost 3-2 after being two up and absolutely cruising. Chris Knowles going off had a massive effect and whilst FC Utd scored a peach the halfway line lob was down to a Singh error. Jas is probably the best shot stopper in the division but he's prone to a clanger and that definitely was another. We're safe which is great, just over 300 away fans in a crowd of 795 but naff all going on about the stadium again, dunno how long people will continue to follow us in this never ending exile especially in Evesham next season.

Off to Brackley tonight, time to close the gap on Fylde and also get revenge for one of our 2 losses at home this season.

Must win, if we lose or draw we've basically handed the title to Fylde.

Ya think so? Considering where we are after being completely shit for 80% of the season, if we hit any sort of form, it won't be over till it's over. :bdick:

Brackley 2 Harriers 0. Two goals in three minutes right at the end of the game after it sounds like we've had the better of the play.

Oh dear, Harrier94 concedes his clubs title chances have gone. Let's hope his manager and players have more balls.

The difference between our home form and away form is ridiculous. 11 wins in a row at home in all competitions, but we haven't won away since 3rd December against Bradford PA.

It is over. 1 win in 8 away from home. 5 of our next 6 our away. And the 10 point gap is too big.

All playoff spots feel up for grabs for the Shaymen now. Pretty inconsequential if Flyde continue to run away with it using their printout money, but having breathing room is a good thing. Let's see what we do with it in our next few games. We have Boston, Alfresco, Bankrupt Park Avenue, Gloucester and Gainsborough in the next five games before facing the Harriers themselves.
