Not yet, that is pretty early to start arranging them, especially when the current season hasn't even finished...we usually hear about ours in around June.

Think it was mentioned that Birmingham City will be bringing their first team again as part of the Maxwell deal.

Last year ours started to be arranged in early May. We usually play a match each pre-season against Buxton for the Keith Alexander Trophy but nothing confirmed so far.

We'll probably get the usual shite. Billericay and VCD away. A League One or Championship youth team at home and some other dull ones.

We've got a development game against Spurs U21s next Tuesday. Shame I can't go, I don't land from Belgrade in time.

Only a matter of time before someone starts the "2016/17 predictions" thread now.

Surely BEFORE THE END OF THE PREVIOUS SEASON is a record.

Bedford Town v Luton Town
Part of a 5 year deal for pre-season games and other tie-ups, and including a promise of a 'first team' from Luton. Sounds like a good deal for Bedford.

Totally by coincidence, a couple of weeks ago, Bedford cancelled a game v MK Dungs due for the same date.

We've barely finished arranging this seasons pre-season friendlies.

We wont know anything about next seasons friendlies/season tickets/ticket prices/ new kit/players contracts until THIS SEASON HAS ACTUALLY FINISHED. Or probably some time in June or July.

Our club rarely does things early. Even early bird season tickets/renewal offers don't usually come until June.

We just announced our first pre season game

Vs Margate (H)- 12th July

We will most likely have Ascot United home or away for our final preseason game as has been the case the last few years

we arent going to have an home friendlies this season due to the Stereophonics having a gig at the stadium on 2nd July, delaying some re-seeding that needs to be done

so far Mills has confirmed he wants a repeat of local games against Lex XI and Gresford. will be surprised if we end up playing anyone above league 2 level

We've got a home game against Liverpool, which should be fun. Nothing else announced yet, I don't believe.

Huddersfield Town at Nethermoor on 6th July in one of four pre-season friendlies confirmed today.

The Lions host David Wagner’s Terriers before making away trips to Hyde, Stalybridge Celtic and Curzon Ashton as they prepare for the 2016-17 season.

Further friendlies will be announced on the website in the coming weeks.

We tried to get Leicester back again but they've opted to be paid silly money and play in the International Champions Cup against Barca and PSG instead for some reason.

Obviously the pull of the Sin Siro isn't what I thought it was.

We've got one away at Dunstable and one away at Ware so far that I'm aware of (no pun intended).

Imagine we'll also have the usual faire against Orient or Southend, and I think we're still owed a proper friendly by Brighton.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds
Saturday 16th July - Rushden & Higham (Away) – Chris Ruff Memorial Cup
Thursday 21st July Peterborough Utd (Home) – Maunsell Cup
Saturday 23rd July Deeping Rangers (Away)
Tuesday 26th July Wellingborough Town (Home)*
Tuesday 2nd August Raunds Town (Away)
Saturday 6th August Hednesford Town (Away)

*Due to ground share the home only denotes that we will get the gate receipts I guess, we share bar and food takings with them anyway as part of the ground share agreement.

Very "meh". Partially because all pre-season games are, but partly because there's nothing that really stands out there. The Peterborough game might be a highlight, though I expect us to get spanked by their reserves - it's only on after we won the Hillier Senior Cup. Traveling away to a side higher up than us seems a bit odd, but I guess it gets us used to the traveling for the NPLD1S. We play Rushden & Higham every year. Deeping aren't a particularly likable side though they tend to be one of the better UCL sides, Wellingborough are struggling to avoid relegation from the UCL Prem these days and the game will just be so they can take a share of the bar and food money. Raunds is nice to go back to where it started in our first season as a youth team and Rushden & Higham away is held every year but these are two step 6 sides, and poorer ones at that in the UCL Division 1.

The list could be significantly improved by adding a few home games to sides higher up, but there aren't many dates left to fill unless we make the schedule hectic or field U21s sides in some of the games (which I expect we might). I guess we're looking at filling Saturday 30th July with one such team. Our season will probably start on Saturday 13th August, meaning there will be no more dates to fill after the Hednesford game.

We will have the usual round of away games against local teams, this often includes Slimbridge (where our ladies team plays home games, not the wildfowl and wetlands trust), Brimscombe and Thrupp, Shortwood and possibly Bishop's Cleeve. We normally have three or four games at home against teams from a higher level, either based in the West Country, Midlands or with some sort of link to the current manager. Not sure what this will mean, as we have just changed manager, but I would be happy if they managed to arrange a game against Swindon.
