This Chesterfield gig stinks to high-heaven of Tim Flowers coming in to Denton-ball them to safety.
I've not seen any odds yet but some of the names dished about are pretty scary. Tim Flowers is one of the names that is less scary to put this into context.

He'd make you a lot more competent, but imagine having to watch that form of 'football' every week.

Shy and retiring Danny Cowley on Soccer AM today apparently.

He's like Tony Bellew, wish people would just leave him alone and out of the limelight.

Was the right call. Out of his depth. 3 defeats in 2 weeks to 3 part time teams conceding 8 along the way is just not acceptable whoever you are.

We’ve just conceded 9 in 3 games against Bromley, Kings Lynn and Woking

Shy and retiring Danny Cowley was on the EFL highlights on Saturday.

Just leave the man alone and out of the limelight for goodness sake.

We topped that with our effort on Saturday. 3 games in a week, led in all of them, conceded in 80+ mins in all 3, including 2 at 90+ mins v County and got 0 points. Just the 7 defeats in 9 games now. CHRIST

James Rowe was our Assistant Manager for a couple of years under Gary Waddock. Always came across well and liked football to be played on the deck. Happy to see him doing well.

Surprised he's been offered the job though, he hasn't been a Manager very long at all and given Chesterfield's current situation, I'd have expected them to opt for a more experienced choice.

Which James Rowe came on against us Saturday? There's loads of them and I think they are all at Aldershot.

Just like there's 500 Danny Rowes in lower league football.

Hes got an interesting background. A risk but like us you've been down the old dinosaur route, worth a go.

On the face it that’s some risk to take, though, on the back of one good run of form.

Seen these appointments happen before and they never seem to work out.

I've seen a lot of grumbles in the NLN *or South, (whatever league they are in) about Gloucester spending loads on their players... mostly from Chester fans about Asante.

He’s got badges coming out of his ears, Pro Licence, Cryuff Academy, the lot. He does have a bit of a past for iffy dealings, and if I’m honest, he’s a bit of an arrogant twat. Good coach though.

What's he been up too? Our fans will love an iffy background after just getting rid of the previous owners

Can't argue with that. We've done well this season but look at our team, we should. Defensively though we're still poor which seems a risk for you.

Important to remember he took a side comfortably in midtable last season into a massive relegation fight. Playing absolutely awful football with no plan b, dumping long time players and never got onside with our support. He's fortunate the season was stopped because most people wanted him sacked. Majority of players that left during that period didn't like him, it's something that has followed him about.

He's definitely ambitious but with that comes that massive ego.

Got booted out of both Villa and West Ham for allegedly tapping up young players for his old man who’s an agent. Heard he was also a bit of a bully towards the younger squad members and can well believe it. As mentioned above, is ego is colossal.

A good bullying is the least some of our players deserve.

His dad's name was doing the rounds on our forum, with some assuming he'd have loads of players on the books at Gloucester which he doesn't seem to have. Do you know who his dad does represent? Had a google and couldn't find much.

Remember him being in charge of Grimsby when we played them in the old (new) Div 1/now Championship

...fair to say a lot has changed since then

Jason Ainsley has left Spennymoor after 14 years in post. 11 trophies and 770 games in charge. Quite an act to follow

I’m sure we will be in touch with Mad Dog...

Inevitable end to what always looked a very strange appointment.

Two weeks until our next league game - have no idea who might be in the frame to take over and what sort of options they will have to improve the squad but if we don’t improve, we are in massive trouble.
