This Phil Wild has never done anything in management outside of half a current decent season at Ragbag Rovers.

Massive risk to go giving him the reins of Proper Club.
Is there a written test he has to pass to be able to manage a “proper club”

What’s the deal with Luke Garrard, why isn’t he ever linked with other jobs? Surprised EFL aren’t sniffing round him. Would he be tempted to link back up with Tshimanga at Chesterfield?

Stockport County.
The weird thing about Rowe is he is obviously a massive bellend but it's undeniable he got great results at Chesterfield in his 12 or so months there. The players couldn't have hated him that much.

He was one of the names fans thought we might have been in for in the summer before Mark Cooper got the job - I'd be surprised if Garrard goes anywhere now though - he seams to want to get Boreham Wood promoted.

Bit like the Conte situation this. I wouldn’t be surprised to see PP get the boot if Wrexham lose at Torquay tomorrow, and the Red Dragons throw their hat into the ring for PW now they know he has been making eyes at Chesterfield.
If we lose tomorrow 100% guaranteed someone will start a thread on NCM asking ‘should we go for James Rowe’?

He’s resigned so no compensation and a clean break. I think most fans have a good idea what has gone off. He will get another job in football and no doubt do a good job. I’m bitterly disappointed in him tbh
If that's the case the statement is false. 'Mutual consent".

The statements correct when you consider that the board probably advised him to jump before inevitably being pushed upon completion of the investigation. With it being rumoured as being a police investigation, this is the best scenario we could have hoped for because this could have rumbled on for a long time before we’d have been able to sack him, potential for it to have gone on for a few months!

On Rowe though, purely as a football manager he looked to have all the tools to bring success here and move on up the leagues. Meticulous planning, tactically astute, eye for a player, an ability to reconnect fans with their club just to name a few of those qualities. His record here was unbelievable, shaking that losing mentality we had as a club for a good 4/5 years and turning us into real challengers.

Unfortunately for him, being a decent person in any sense of the word is more important than all of the above in the grand scheme of things. If you’re an arrogant, obnoxious ‘narcissist’ (as I’ve heard him described a number of times) behind the scenes, then it will ALWAYS catch up with you. Good on the board for not trying to sweep anything under the carpet to save their man, they did the right thing and now we move on.

Paul Cook announced today at the game with all the fans there please…? The absolute dream

It'd be exactly like Kevin 'Big Guns' Wilkin managing here after leaving Nuneaton.

He went to the meeting cap in hand, then realised he was toast. So slapped his resignation letter on the table and screamed ‘get your laughing gear round that’

He needs to find a club where the Chairman has no morals, answers on a postcard.

He would never leave that Boreham Wood job so no one ever bothers to ask the question. He's got the cushiest of all numbers down there.

sounds like Boston United bound then... or at least the Boston who Steve Evans got into the football league would have taken him.....

Have you ever been to a Borehamwood match? Gerrard may be able to get results with his brand of anti-football but I'd never want him to manage my club.

Just listened to Garrard talking about Borehamwood’s fans being their ‘12th man’ today which is ironic given that’s how many they usually get at home.
Actually sold out their allocation of 1,340.

Webbo needs a job for life on the coaching staff. A great guy, the players love him, the fans love him and he loves it here too. No doubt in my mind he would be an asset to Cook so I hope the club insist on him staying

Will instantly become the highest paid manager in NL history.

Huge risk for him though - if it all goes wrong he’s a manager who has failed in his last two jobs, including non-league.
He’s still being paid by Ipswich and he was on a hefty wage there. I doubt we’ll have needed to break the bank to bring him in when you consider that.

This is a ridiculous coup if it happens, I’m absolutely buzzing.

He won't continue being paid by Ipswich if he is working for you though will he?

Well this was apparently the stumbling block last time round so they must have sorted something. I know he wants to get back into work but I can’t see why he’d stop his compensation pay from Ipswich which is likely to have been an absolute wedge for what he’s going to be getting whilst managing us?

Wouldn’t make sense that
