So far they're easily the worst of the supposed "big" clubs to have dropped into League 2 - which is funny because of the "big" clubs to have dropped into League 2 (Portsmouth, Bradford, Coventry) they were probably the worst performing in the previous season as well.

Devil’s advocate here. I can understand Bolton’s excitement after years of not just failure but teetering on the brink of extinction. If the club is, indeed, now on even keel they are bound to be looking forward to a season at long last.

The irksome thing is that they, almost to a man , think it’s a given.

Not at all...A lot of what i wrote was tongue in cheek mainly to reply to misinformed posts on here.

Do not forget this coming season Bolton are under a transfer embargo and most likely a salary cap.

Eoin Doyle stated that he had turned down more lucrative offers than what we offered him.



Sarcevic moved back to the area to be near family....again to the benefit of our club.

Yes we splashed the cash to get Evatt on board, but why would you not, if you listen to how he operates.
More than likely [hopefully] our stay will be short term in lge 2 a given no way... we will suffer the odd mauling unexpected result, but until we know who else will be joining us we cannot in all honesty predict where we will finish.

Players always say that. Tbf to Doyle, even if we had matched your contract he would still have gone just to be near his family. He scored almost all his goals because of the good work of the rest of the team - serving chances up on a plate. Tbh, if he doesn’t score he doesn’t contribute much else.
