We can but hope. Ditto Forest Gump Vegans. Nothing would give me more pleasure football wise to see them back where they belong with the bottom feeders

We haven't beaten Notlob since 1982, really hope we do this season (twice). Fixtures out on Friday 21st, looking forward to seeing them.

And as I’ve said previously on here, an entirely new squad may take time to gel, hence my prediction of 7th.

Since you seem incapable of appreciating the views of others, I’m going to pop you on ignore. Bye.
That's not fair... as you're a Bolton fan you should be forced to see his posts.

I think you'll find that it is actually a bus stop in Horwich.
That pic is about 500 yards from the stadium,,,,Not got a clue if the is a bus stop there or not....Listen because it does not seen to be regestering,,,,the stadium is in blackrod
Either way both blackrod and horwich are districts of bolton....Bolton postcodes and pay council tax to Bolton

Same way Luton airport is called London Luton - or Carlisle claims to be the "city of the Lakes"

Usually we throw in the bookie's assessment of the league table from oddchecker or similar in here as a prediction, so here we go:

1 - Bolton
2 - $alford
3 - Tranmere
------------------------------
4 - Exeter
5 - Mansfield
6 - FGR
7 - Bradford
------------------------------
8 - Cheltenham
9 - Port Vale
10 - Colchester
11 - Walsall
12 - Newport
13 - Southend
14 - Grimsby
15 - Leyton Orient
16 - Scunthorpe
17 - Harrogate
18 - Crawley
19 - Carlisle
20 - Cambridge
21 - Barrow
22 - Stevenage
-------------------------------
23 - Oldham
24 - Morecambe

Bookies predict Morecambe to finish bottom is the most predictable thing in football, second most predictable thing is Morecambe surviving. Nevertheless, if the bookies are right then the division will be a lot less north-western oriented next season.

Says daz on side of a bus, but you dont put your washing in the bus
I occasionally put mine in the bus if I'm going to the launderette.
I mean, don't get the wrong idea I do have a washing machine but sometimes I need a bigger drum and I don't live in a neighbourhood with launderettes and sometimes this coincides with a car at the garage situation.

So, are you from Blackrod, Horwich or Bolton then?

We seem to feature reasonably high on this and few other predictions and not sure why, maybe just the stability of Cooper being here a while. Some reasonable signings but nothing stand out. Not that I don't think we have a chance but a surprise to see us consistently placed higher than e.g. Cheltenham in a lot of predictions.

Agree, we've lost some real quality and signed a few half decent, but unspectacular players plus a few more kids, so not sure why we'll improve to the point where we're fancied to be ahead of the likes of Vale or Cheltenham, both of who were comfortably better then us last season, have retained strong squads and made some good signings.

The FGR hype has surely worn away by now so I'm also not sure why the strong predictions. It's not like when you were a new team at this level with all this groundbreaking forward thinking and a vocal owner mouthing off about how easy promotion was gonna be. You're part of the furniture now. Back end of last season you were pretty awful, season before that you were very good on paper yet nowhere near as good on the pitch. I think you've settled at this level now and will probably eventually get your chance in League One but I'm not expecting any trees to be ripped up, not even from sustainable forests... probably not until Cooper goes, he seems to have taken you as far as he can and some of his signings over the past few years have been frankly poor.

Don't bring up dodgy global betting patterns and FGR again JF, that's all long been firmly put to bed/swept under the carpet.

Tbh think it's still all because of Vince's promotion will be easy quote. People assume he's backing it up when in fact we've generally had a pretty average squad for most of the time at this level, mainly carried by a few quality players (Doidge, Brown, Mills, Rawson and Shephard) all of who have left over the past year and a bit.
