We lost our first friendly 3-2 to Doncaster

Won our 1st friendly 4-0 today away at a local Northern Premier League side Holker Old Boys;-
goals from Lewis Hardcastle, Jack Hindle (2) and Luke James.

Just finished ours v Palace u23s. 2-1 scoreline. Our goals coming from Sam Ashford (signed from Hemel Hempstead) and Brian Galach (been with the club for a while but might have been signed from the Shire).

Two different teams in each half . Two different formations too. Had a trialist in goal second half. Seeing as we only have one keeper I presume we are looking at some.

Beat Reading U23s 2-0 at home with goals from Craig Clay and Lee Angol. Shaq Coulthirst apparently was our trialist and played the full 90mins.

Yate Town 0 - 2 FGR, just now. Both goals late in the second half.

1-0 down to Blackpool, played alright and missed a pen. Good workout.

Based on that first half would say Visser has done himself some good in trying to win a contract as reserve keeper. Nobody looked too bad given this is the first run out and Blackpool look a good team. Rhys Browne done well as has Worrall and Crookes looks far happier playing in the middle.

Not sure the other trialist Beckford has done enough really to warrant anything at this stage though.

He’s looked ok but should of buried that chance before half time!

Lost 2-1 good game and a huge error cost us the game but got everyone a bit of game time. Saw a few trialists. Fleetwood away Tuesday

Glad we don’t have to play CJ Hamilton in the league again this season as he was causing our second half defence all kinds of trouble.

Rodney looked really promising. Scott Brown was as good as ever and credit to Dan Trickett-Smith, he seemed really eager to impress and it was his work pressing that created our goal so that should please Askey.

Keeping it quiet then, like the club did.

We played a bit like Bayern Munich apparently, but not as good.
